There was always a problem. With parents of course, not all, but a lot of them, you could never do anything right. Even if you got the perfect grades, Did what your parents wanted, just to make them happy, Yet it was never enough for them. It was confusing. Especially for someone who's young. That's how little Violet felt. She felt confused, She was young when this thing started. Roughly 6 years old. Where her parents started expecting more from her. Especially her mother. She always wanted little violet to follow her footsteps. Finding a lovely husband, who was rich, handsome, and would take good care of her. She felt the only way that her violet could get that is by being a smart, respectful young girl. Not a problem.
Until violet got a little older. Whilst her mother set expectations for her, she would try so hard to make her mother proud. Studying hard, then middle school came, the time where most young ladies become young women, they get periods talk about boys, start finding their own sense of style, wearing makeup. Violet was one of those girls. But it was last year in middle school, 8th grade. she's now the age of 13, keeping up with her mothers expectation.
This is where violet story starts.
THIRD POV
The alarm goes off, the time 4:23 am. Violet stirs around before reluctantly getting up slipping on her fuzzy slippers and gathering her clothes for the day. She walks to her shower making sure It was warm before getting in. Almost shrinking in the warm water, from it being near the end of winter it was still pretty cold, so warm water fresh in the morning helps her body warm up. Once she's done she rinses herself off and hops out of the shower, slipping her bath robe on and slippers before walking towards her bedroom. Closing the door she turns on her LED lights so she could see everything better. "Let's see, Let's see" The 8th grader muttered to herself going through her closet to find the perfect outfit for this day. Today was their last day of testing, so she wanted to be comfortable but she also wanted to make it cute. she decided she was going to go with some black leggings and a white t-shirt with a rainbow stripe that goes rights across her chest. She slipped on some white ankle-high socks putting them over her legging and put on her rainbow vans. She lets her hair down out of the towel that was wrapped around her head to keep her hair from dripping on her carpeted floor, She let her hair dry naturally and starts on her make up Once she was done she went down for breakfast connecting eyes with her mother Remember, be respectful, look her in the eyes when you're speaking to her, and no back talk. Violet recited her mother's instructions before taking a deep breath and walking towards her mother.
The young girl sat at the table without saying a word to her mother. Violet wasn't going to lie, her mother was pretty scary when she was angry. That is why she tries not to make her mother upset. Nor her father, her father was a different story. He would be angry no matter what the situation was. She can't even remember the last time she has seen her father smile, one that wasn't a sinister one. Just to violet's luck her father wasn't home, he was actually doing business. Her mother was a therapist whilst her father was a businessman. He is usually always at work, even when he's not. Though Violet was happy that her father's attention wasn't on her, she never really liked it when it was, cause when it was. bad things would happen. She always felt the need to make her parents happy. Her mother was quite easy, but her father was one tough cookie, he wanted her to do other things. Something that isn't useless and won't get you anywhere's in life. She felt stuck. After she's finished eating her breakfast she runs upstairs to grab her bag and her phone. Telling her mom a quick goodbye before she left. She sits outside waiting for her bus, whilst listening to music. The cold air still roaming around with only a little bit of warmth. There was no more snowfall but still quite cold. Violet feels her body shiver and she clings onto her arms. Violet gets up and dusts her pants off seeing the bus turn down her street, she grabs her bag and phone and walks onto the bus sitting in the same spot she sat in for the past 3 years since she started middle school. She looked out the window, the morning air seemed refreshing, even though it was cold enough to make your lips turn blue, but when she walked through the same doors she walked through all of her middle school years, the warm aura gave violet something to smile about. It was warm inside, all the teachers had the same smile on their faces as they do everyday, while students stood by their lockers either waiting for lessons to start or talking to their friends. Violet waited by her locker for her best friend since elementary school, Olivia 13, and an absolute idiot. But violet didn't mind, because even though Olivia was a complete idiot she was still a great friend, she stuck up for you when you couldn't and she listens. Violets parents didn't really like people over, stating that it gets in the way of their work, but they accept Olivia at any time, She understood that their work was important and promised not to bother them unless needed and they appreciated it, Olivia was also one of the star students. Which is another thing your parents liked about Olivia. She was smart, respectful, and beautiful. Overall she was that "perfect daughter" every parent wanted.
Violet was so lost in thought she didn't Olivia waving her hands in front of her face. "Oi vi, you there? earth to violet!" Violet shook her head before responding to the impatient girl. "Hi there liv, sorry I was in my own little world"She apologized, Olivia smiled and gave the girl a nudge on her shoulder. "You're all good, what were ya thinking about anyways" Violet shrugs her shoulder as she leans against her locker, she knew what she was thinking about, but she didn't want to mention it to the sweet girl in front of her. It was nothing to important anyways. "It doesn't matter anyways, what we should be thinking about is how today is the last day of testing, and then we have a week before summer break" Violet says excitedly closing her locker. The Olivia jumps up and down excitedly. "Oh yes, I can't wait for the bikinis on the beach waving at hot boys that pass by, oh it's a dream come true i tell ya" She smiles lazily as she dramatically slides down the locker which did indeed include a couple bumps on the way. Violet laughs at her friends antics before heading to their lessons which included a very boring day of taking one long test, sitting in one classroom all day, with very little breaks. Violet was very happy she decided to wear something comfty, the chairs were very uncomfortable and she had to stay in that same spot most of the day. Lucky since It was only a friday that meant she gets to rest her brain. Once she got home she took a warm bubble bath, and once she got out she put on sweatpants and a hoodie, got in bed and watched movies all night ocassionally sneaking down to get some snacks. She face timed Olivia, and danced around. Until it came to the time she had to go to bed.
