Later that afternoon the siblings walked around the back of the house to see what they could find when Phoebe suddenly touched her brother's arm before pointing at a shed which was almost hidden by plants.
Trevor pushed the door open before offering his sister his hand as they stepped over loose boards and leaves until they stood in front of a large old-fashioned firefighter pole.
"I'll go first." Trevor said before grabbing hold of the pole and sliding down out of sight.
"Trevor?" Phoebe called uncertainly before he answered her.
"Down here! c'mon Phoebe." he called and Phoebe gripped the pole before sliding down to join her brother in the vast ocean of darkness below.
"It sure is dusty down here." Phoebe observed after wiping dust from her glasses before looking at her brother who nodded as the two of them shared a secret smile.
"Let's not tell anyone about this place yet." Phoebe said with a grin which her brother was quick to return.
"It'll be our little secret." Trevor agreed wrapping his pinky around his sister's sealing their promise.
