Y/N is a growing musician who is going on tour around the U. S. Making a stop on Las Vegas.
After their first show, they stumble upon an interesting man who wears tape on his face.
Finding out Y/N has some free time between shows, will they decide...
We exit the bowling alley and much to our luck it's raining. I let a sight as we stand underneath the hood of the red rock resort. I feel tape give me a little tap which only made me give him a sad smile.
Y/N: What now?
I ask with a bit of disappointment since our date had been ruined. I see him start writing in his notepad.
Tape: Hey, don't frown. I have a perfect spot to go during times like this! I remember I used to go to this one cafe that is absolutely beautiful :)
I read the note and just nodded as I waved for a taxi. We both got inside and he handed the driver a note. Arriving and running towards the inside of the cafe, Tape and I just start laughing. I move my gaze from him to the cafe it was gorgeous. I gasp as I look around. Wow! A hostess greets us and leads us to a sort of giant bookcase or stair case thing? I'm not sure what it is but it sure is awesome!

Tape and I left our shoes in the green grass carpet at the edge of the case. We got up to the second step and sat down. A waitress greeted us and gave us a pair of menus. 'Gabi Café and Bakery' was the name of the cafe. I ended up ordering my f/d and Tape just wrote down 'hot cocoa please'.
Tape's POV:
As the waitress left I glanced over to the books at my left side. I look at the names and found a good comic to read. I grabbed it and looked back at Y/N. They smiled at me and I gestured for them to get a book if they pleased. "Alright" they said and grabbed f/b. I smiled at them and got my notepad.
Tape: Do you like it here?
Y/N: Yes I very much do. The music is so peaceful and the environment as well.
Tape: I'm glad you are enjoying yourself <3
They just smiled and quickly covered their face. Is that blush? Did they just blush- Nah it was probably just me. We both began to read our stories and after several minutes our waitress came back.
Y/N: Thank you!
Y/N said as they grabbed their f/d. 'Thank you' I mouthed as the waitress gave me a nod and left. Y/N looked at me with wide eyes. What? I thought. What did I do? They seemed to read my mind as they soon started to speak.
Y/N: I'm sorry. It's just.. I-I have never seen you mouth anything.
Oh.. I gave them a small smile and started drinking my hot coco. Y/N did the same as they looked back at their book. I looked at them as their h/l h/c hair was slightly damped from the rain. Their e/c eyes focused on the letters as they moved in a dancing manner above the page. They took a sip from their drink and then looked at me. An eyebrow raised caught my attention making me realize I was starring. 'Sorry' I mouthed. They just giggled and gave me a soft punch on my arm.
Y/N: It's alright
I smiled and looked back to my comic. We continued reading and chatting for some hours until suddenly the lights started to flicker.
Third Person:
Tape and Y/N were so caught in their little world from chatting and reading that they didn't realize a storm started forming outside. The lights flickered and thunder roared. Suddenly there was just darkness, the power had gone out and all the costumers had been left in silence. Chatter was heard around the room as waiters and chefs were wondering what to do. Y/N scooted closer to Tape as their anxiety started to act up. Tape grabbed into their hand and gave it a little squeeze. The candles around the room made it light enough for Y/N to see Tape looking down in them with a gentle smile.
Y/N: Do you think we can get a ride home?
Y/N asked as they looked at Tape. They could only see him shake his head in disagreement. Oh how hard was this going to be.
Y/N: Wait where are we?
Y/N asked with a shaky breath. Tape frowned at the question.
Y/N: I mean like the address
Tape mouthed an 'oh' as he grabbed his phone and texted Y/N.
Tape: 5808 Spring Mountain Rd. Ste 104 Las Vegas, NV 89146. Chinatown. I believe
Y/N looked at the text and thought for a second.
Y/N: Oh alright! That's not so far away from my apartment! If we run fast enough we can get there in fifteen to twenty minutes! Plus we get to run in the rain isn't that fun?
Tape just gave Y/N a not so sure look but nodded. They both stood up and paid before they left. Taking a deep breath from both sides they held each other's hand tightly. They opened the door and started to run. Y/N guided Tape as they ran thru the cold rain. The lightning and the lights from the strip far away illuminated their path. The sound of some cars could be heard. From time to time they slipped a bit but manage to keep on running. After about 17 minutes, they made it to the apartment building. Soaking wet they walked to Y/N's apartment room.
Y/N: Well that was something!
Y/N said as they opened the door. They both got inside and started laughing. Tape didn't care for his voice to come out just for a while. The laughing faded as they both stood their freezing.
Y/N: I'm going to get us some towels to dry ourselves
Y/N said as they headed towards the bathroom. Tape nodded and waited patiently. Y/N came back and placed a towel around Tape and one around themselves. They both tried to dry their hair but Y/N just laughed at Tape as his hair was all fluffy. Tape moved the h/c hair out of Y/N's face and grabbed their cheek. Both their eyes were locked on each other as Tape softly carcasses Y/N's s/c cheek. Their cold cheeks started to heat up as the stare lasted longer. Before they both realized their lips were just centimeters apart. They both leaned into each other and soon enough their lips connected. Little drops of water fell from their hair but they didn't care. Their lips danced together and separated to get a breath.
Y/N: I- I quite enjoyed this date
Y/N said as Tape cleared his throat. Tape grinned as an agreement. The clock strikes 10pm as they lay on the couch falling asleep to the sound of rain.
