Amanda's Pov

After getting a smoothy and a cup of coffee for Chris in our kitchen I went up to our office I pushed the door open he was sitting behind his desk with a bunch of papers on our table scattered everywhere typing on his laptop I immediately got irritated because just yesterday I had cleaned and organised everything
"Here I got you a cup of coffee you look exhausted"

he really did you could see the black eye bags under his eyes and his uncombed hair he was also wearing the same clothes as yesterday means he didn't sleep at all I was worried about him he worked himself really hard I tried raising the situation but he always dismissed the idea of taking a break
"aahh thanks sis" he took a sip his eyes closed and his head titled back a bit
"damn I needed that"
"you a coffee addict you know that you need to go to rehab" I said with a bit of humor in my voice "says the girl who's addicted to smoothies which I'm guessing has a bit of vodka in it" he knows me too well
"Yha well since coffee wakes you up vodka does the same for me" I'm not a alcoholic just really love vodka in the morning.

I took a sit and started working on the papers that I was already working on yesterday and handing over papers to Chris that needed to be signed but not before reading through them and making sure that we don't miss anything of course

"So why did you wake me up so early" I asked him barely lifting up my head

"grandad is coming over wants to check up on us see how we doing plus I need you to look over these documents they from the vipers gang they want an negotiation to conduct some business on our turf I'm wary about it you know that our ethics and morals don't align with theirs."

The vipers gang engages in human trafficking and kills senselessly innocent people without any reason and we don't take kindly to that, so we drove them out of our city if anyone is going to conduct any kind of business here better follow our rules and we won't have any beef

"They must be really down bad to even consider to sit down with us under one roof and negotiate with us considering our history"

we may or may have not tipped off the police about one of their big human trafficking deals that was going to take place at a specific place and time it was such a huge bust that it got their gang leader Dunyasha Ivanov arrested since then we were never been on good terms and his son Boleslava Ivanov now Leader of the gang who vowed revenge for him so to want an meeting with us is very fishy.

"Something must be up for them to want a negotiation and return here maybe business isn't doing so well where they are but I'll look more into it find as much of information as I can. uh the R&R deal needs to be.."
before I could continue there was a knock at the door Chris went back to his monotone cold voice he "Come in" the door opened and there stood one of our men "Sir your grandfather has arrived his waiting in the kitchen" Chris looked up "Tell him we will be down shortly". he got up strengthened out his suit " Come on sis lets go you know granddad hates waiting".

I got up he walked in front me opened the door and walked out "Chivalry is dead my own brother won't even hold the door open for his own sister" "pfft I did once and you yelled at me saying I can open up my own door I'm a cable women " he said in a high pitched voice "I don't sound like that" "yes you do" we started bickering all the way to the kitchen I don't think we even noticed that we were there because we heard grandpa clear his throat "Grandpa!!" I loved my grandpa always treated us with love and care plus he was so damn huggable him and grandma speaking of grandma I looked around "where's grandma?" his lips tilted upwards "what you not happy to see this old men" before I could protest Chris spoke up
"of course we happy to see you old men" he said as he went in for a hug pushing me to the side Ahh rude "do that again and I'll stick this pen where the sun don't shine" I saw him visibly gulp I smirked and turned my attention back to grandpa who had a wide smile on his face
"it's so good to see you my grand babies the house has been so quiet without you two." his face immediately turned serious after looking at us for a long time "you guys haven't been resting" yep here comes the scolding Chris and I looked at each with knowing eyes this is about to be a long lecture
