        THE MISUNDERSTANDING

3rd person's POV

ONE MONTH LATER

Arohi took care of Karthik while he was in recovering process. Her love for him was at peak. She daily confess her love to Karthik, but Karthik never said it back.

He was always clingy to her, if she misses one single day in meeting him, he becomes angry bird every single time.

He wants her to be infront of his eyes always, they've kissed so many times now, and many of them were initiated by him. She felt loved by him. She felt he needed her in life, but he never confessed it to her.

So she just soothes her heart by saying 'let him take his time, he just recovered from a serious accident, she should be thanking god, instead of complaining'.

Karthik has started to go to his office again after a week or so. And started to get busy. In the meantime she attends her lectures in college. They were back to routine like how they were before his accident.

Karthik was in his office going through some paperwork, when Arohi arrived with his lunch.

"Hey, my big baby, how are you feeling today?" Arohi as usual gushed at him being extra sweet while greeting him with a peck on his lips.

To which karthik just pulled her on his lap, to kiss her properly as he missed her so much..

They took their time to kiss and then sat in silence with Arohi in Karthik's arms, looking at their locked fingers.

Arohi confessed again "I love you"

"I know" was all she got from him, and she just looked at him sadly.

Karthik looking at her pouting face, leaned towards her to kiss away her sad pout only to replace it with giggle. He smiled a little at her and said "what did you made today?, I'm hungry now"

And Arohi fed him with her own hands and left after lunch.
He bid her bye and sat looking at door.
He remembered her sad pout, he felt bad.

He has decided he will confess his feelings to her soon.

After some days.

Karthik was meeting a client in some cafe, Jack was accompanying him. They were almost finished with their matter, when suddenly Karthik stopped saying, Jack confusedly looked at karthik only to see him looking ahead of their seat.

Jack followed his eyes only to widen his own eyes.

Arohi walked out of his college to go to karthik's office as she was missing him badly, they didn't met for 2 days and this was longest for them. Karthik was busy preparing for some big project. So she understood and supported him silently.

Suddenly she heard her name was called by her classmate Rajeev.

Rajeev ran towards her in hurry and said "hey, Aru can you please help me with Economics project, I'm facing some problems.. Please?"

Arohi agreed to help because he also helped her during Karthik's accident time with notes. They decided to go to nearby cafe and discuss.

They got in a cafe and got seated, they first thought to order something as they were hungry from sitting in long ass class.

While waiting for their order, they talked about random things, Rajeev told her about some funny incident on college campus that happened today, Arohi couldn't control and giggled aling with him, when suddenly she let out a gasp from her mouth.

Because of jealousy, Karthik suddenly walked upto them feeling furious, and grabbed the boy by his collars and punched him badly on his face.

Jack rushed after him to hold him back but he was quick enough to punch the guy.

Arohi was shocked at first but then realised what happened she felt embarassed and angry, shouting at him she asked

"what the hell did you do? Why did you punched him KARTHIK?"

Karthik who was furious already, his in rageness "Karthik? Did you just called me karthik? Why? Because he is here?"

Arohi just chuckled in disbelief "why are you behaving like this? And you should apolozise to him, he is my friend"

Karthik glared at the boy and giving her the last look he walked out saying "this is how much you loved me, we havn't met for just two days and you already have someone to replace me, great".

Arohi felt like crying, she wanted to run after him but chose to help her friend first as he was innocent but still got punch from big bad guy Karthik.

Two more days passed, Karthik didn't called her once. Also ignored her calls and texts.

Arohi thought 'it was so easy for him to ignore her'

'didn't he missed me at all?'

'what was my fault in all this?'

'he is so cruel, damn he has a big ego, can't he just forget about it and meet her once so she can explain him everything'

'but no, he chose to just ignore her 2 days'

'but I'm missing him so badly, I don't want him being angry at me anymore, what should I do?'

'I'll just visit him in his office, will apologize and explain him everything, ok Arohi good idea, go for it, go get your man'.

Arohi self motivated herself.

Arohi reached his office and as usual try to barge in but this time it was locked from inside.

So she knocked and put on a smile only to get the shock of her life,

The door was opened by a girl, her dress was crumbled, her hair messy, her lipstick messed up, as if in a room they just....................

Arohi who couldn't take it anymore ran away, she started crying badly.

Arohi ran towards the elevator to get out of his building, to get out of his life, to get out of his world forever.

'She has loved him so much, always put him on top of her priority list. Always took care of him because she loves him so much that it hurts now.'

'She had enough now. She can bare anything but not this.'

'How can he do this to her, even though he didn't confessed ever she still believed that he love her, but no she was so wrong, she was so wrong.'

'She has lost him, how will she live without him now?'

While thinking all these, she cried her eyes out, elevator pinged open.

she ran out crying hysterically, and bumped into someone on way to exit and lost her balance.

She closed her eyes in pain, but physical pain never came so she opened her tear filled eyes slowly to see she was in someone's arms safe and sound.

And she got shocked, her eyes widened seeing it was her KARTHIK.
