[PRESENT DAY
CHICAGO]

Zella was currently playing Just Dance with Jack as Druig was standing by the doorway, watching them smile as they danced. Sersi and Ikaris were looking around the house with Photos's husband before coming across Zella and Jack dancing.

"Wanna join?" Jack asked with a smile as he moved to the beat. "No thank you!" Ikaris was quick to decline making Druig smirk.

"He's not a good dancer," Zella admits with a shrug. "Can you not tell the kid how bad I am at things, please?" Ikaris told the brunette woman.

"No."

Ikaris rolled his eyes at the brunette before walking away with Sersi. Phastos came into and took Jack to the bathroom to get ready for bed. Zella smiled, turning off the game before grabbing Druig's hand, and dragging him out of the room to see Sersi and Ikaris peeking over at Phastos and Jack in the bathroom.

The two walked past them to see only two chairs left by the table. Zella glanced up at her husband due to her height then raced towards the chair, Druig following behind her. The brunette quickly sat down on the chair only to be pulled up by her lover. Zella glared at him then tried to shove him off the chair until Sersi and Ikaris sat down at the table. Phastos came in and sat on the last chair.

"Incredibly natural, guys." Phastos comments as he sits down.

Druig takes his wife's waist and pulls her onto his lap, resting his chin on her shoulder.

"So, after all these years even you fell for Ajak's lies." Phastos said. "No need to rub it in." Ikaris told the man. "Mm." Phastos hums before speaking up again. "It all makes sense why she wouldn't let us interfere with human conflicts."

"Conflicts lead to war, and war naturally leads to advancement," Phastos added on. "In lifesaving technology and medicine. So our mission was never to make a peaceful or harmonious world, but to increase the population at all costs. Just farming humans as food for the Celestials, right?"

"That's bleak," Ikaris commented. "Well, so is telling your husband and your child they could be dead within a few days." Phastos said.

"Thought you given up on humans," Druig says.

Phastos sighs. "I got lucky, okay? Thanks to Zella helping me with all of my problems, I have a family now. They give me faith again. And I see the good in humanity in them every single day. So, look I cannot help you even if it means bringing Zella with you! I am not leaving them."

"Phastos," Zella whispers. "I'm sorry, Z! It was wrong for me to use my powers without thinking of the consequences in the first place. So, now I choose to use my hands to fix my child's bicycle, okay?" Phastos tells the brunette.

"Do you?" Druig asks. "I don't use my powers anymore," Phastos tells the mind controller.

"You sure?" Ikaris then asks. "What are you..."
