Natsu couldn't sleep that night, so he walked into the kitchen and took out the bottle that mystery guy gave him. He seemed familiar to him but he didn't know why. He poured himself some in a cup. Before bringing it to his lips he sniffed it. He quickly dropped it and jumped back "what the hell" Natsu said. Blood, why was it blood? And why did it make him so hungry? "Hell no!" Natsu snapped and quickly grabbed a towel and began scrubbing the blood up. "Are you okay Natsu?" Lucy asked sleepily from the doorway. "Uhh I got thirsty and spilled some juice... nothing major" Natsu said.

"I can help" Lucy said, "I got it" Natsu said "it looks like a big mess" Lucy said. Natsu could hear her coming into the kitchen. "I said I got it... go back to bed" Natsu snapped. "What's wrong Natsu?" Lucy asked, damn she was closer. He turned to see the most terrifying look on her face. He would never forget it "i..is that blood" Lucy said. "I..." Natsu could not explain.

Lucy was suddenly reminded of what Mavis told her and it was clicking. "Natsu... are you a v...v..ampire?" Lucy asked, Natsu tried to busy himself with scrubbing up the mess. Lucy reached over and touched his hand "I don't know what's wrong with me" Natsu said honestly. "Someone came here with that bottle... I didn't know what it was but when I was about to drink it I realized what it was" Natsu said. Lucy couldn't help but feel sorry for him, "it's okay Natsu" Lucy said trying to reassure him. "I don't want to hurt you or Happy" Natsu said. "I know you'd never hurt me, Natsu," Lucy said. Lucy finished helping him get up the rest of the blood. She then grabbed the bottle that Natsu mentioned "if this satisfies your hunger. You should use it...''''but it's blood" Natsu pointed out. "I just want you to be okay Natsu," Lucy said as she poured him another cup of blood.

Natsu hesitated before taking it and drinking it's contents. The blood flooded through his body, warming him, satisfying him. He finished drinking and quickly looked away from Lucy. "Are you feeling better?" Lucy asked, he nodded as he wiped his mouth. He didn't want Lucy to see him like this. "Maybe you should go..." Natsu said. She frowned and folded her arms over her chest "there is no way I am leaving you like this" Lucy snapped. "I'm dangerous," Natsu snapped. Lucy shook her head "you haven't hurt me. And why is it so hard for you to let me help you? After everything you've helped me with..." "that's different. You're not a monster" Natsu said. "You are not a monster!" Lucy snapped, she stalked over to him and cupped his face. "Does it look like I'm scared of you?" Lucy snapped. "You should be, I'm like one of those monsters from a horror movie," Natsu said, pulling away from her. "You just look like the same Natsu I've always known" Lucy said with a bright smile. Natsu always wanted to protect that smile.

Honestly she should have been running for the hills but she knew deep down that Natsu wouldn't hurt her... not intentionally anyway. She walked over to him and hugged him from behind. His cool skin didn't bother her, because he was Natsu. "I think I have someone that can help us" Lucy said.
