 "Here you go Erza" Mirajane said as she placed a glass of alcohol in front of her. Erza looked at the golden liquid. "Something wrong?" Mirajane asked "how are you holding up Mira?" Erza asked. "It's going to be hard not having Lisanna around" Mirajane said with a sad look on her face. Erza looked at Mirajane "we will find her killer if it's the last thing we do" Erza said. Mirajane nodded "I know you will Erza" Mirajane said. "You are Erza?" They both looked up to see a man with a red scare and blue hair. Erza recognized him immediately. "Jellal Fernandez" Erza said. "I didn't realize you were back in town" Erza said. "For business I'm afraid" Jellal said showing her his badge. "You work with the FBI?" Erza said. "The murders that have been happening around here is getting a lot of attention." Jellal said. "I wasn't aware of the FBI coming to town" Erza said. "New orders" Jellal said. Sure they are. Erza thought looking at him suspiciously. "Can I sit with you?" Jellal asked. Erza shrugged as she took a sip of her drink. He sat down. After Mirajane walked away Erza asked him the real question. "Why are you really here?" Erza said.

"You seem to already know Erza" Jellal said. "I want to hear it from the horse's mouth" Erza snapped. "You know just as well as I do that these deaths are connected" Jellal began. "These people were killed by Vampires" Jellal whispered. "So that's what I tell Mirajane? That her sister was killed by a mythical creature" Erza snapped. "You know they are not mythical" Jellal said. Erza angrily stood to her feet "I do not need to hear this again Jellal" Erza snapped. Was this what their meetings had come to? Erza took a deep breath "good night Mira!" Erza called out and left out of the bar.

She couldn't just let Zera go out with that strange guy. Mavis pulled out her phone and dialed the detective's office.

"Look I'll take you home" Gray snapped at Juvia. "Oh Gray-sama! Juvia would love to go home with you!" Juvia exclaimed. "THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT DAMMIT!" Gray exclaimed in frustration.

Lucy ran her hands through her hair. How could she possibly focus with all of the noise. "If you guys don't mind I am trying to work here" Lucy snapped. "Yes Gray-sama let's leave" Juvia said brightly as she rubbed against him like a kitten. "Come on, I'll take you home" Gray said as he took her hand and took her out of the office. Now she could focus. Lucy said with a sigh as she looked at the file. She tapped her pen against the desk. Thanks to the silence her mind began to wonder to Natsu's kiss. "Ugh! No! No!" Lucy said with a shake of her head. The phone began to ring she was thankful for the distraction.

"MDP what's your emergency?" Lucy asked "yes... I think I have some evidence for you" she said from the other end. "Who is this?" Lucy asked standing to her feet. "I am Mavis Vermillion" she said. The author? "You can come in now if you wish Ms.Vermillion" Lucy said.

Mavis hung up the phone and rushed out of the house. She had to hurry, Zera could be in serious trouble.

Lucy was anxious to hear what this lackey could come up with that they hadn't figured out in weeks? Well it was something that kept Natsu's kiss out of her mind. Lucy began to look through the files on her desk again. What were they missing that this girl found? After a few minutes there was buzz from outside. After a few more minutes a short girl with long blonde hair and green eyes stood before Lucy. "I am Mavis Vermillion" she said quickly rushing her. Lucy extended her hand in a handshake and Mavis took it. "You were the one that called" Lucy noted the numerous books and notes the girl had in her arms. "I am... I think my friend is in trouble" Mavis said. "Your friend?" Lucy asked she nodded "You told me that you may have some evidence for me" Lucy added. Mavis nodded "could we get something to drink?" Mavis asked. "There's a cafe' near by..." "there's no time" Mavis said quickly. "The conference room" Lucy said as she lead the way.

Mavis followed after the other blonde to a small room. She walked to the counter and began to prepare coffee. "Sugar and cream?" Lucy asked. "Yes please" Mavis said as she put her books on the gray table. "You can sit down Ms. Vermillion" she said as she turned around and put their cups on the table. Mavis grabbed her cup and took a sip. "You said your friend was in trouble" Lucy repeated. "Yes...but first I have to tell you about the evidence I have found" Mavis said. She wiped the rim of her cup. "Well?" "If you have read my books you know that I write about of mysteries." Mavis said.
