Hiro, not being able to go back to sleep probably because of the nightmare, rose up from his bed, wore his slippers and walked down the stairs to try to help his aunt in attending to the customers of the café. He somewhat knew that there would be many customers for it is the “hot-chocolate season”, as what he calls it.

“Good morning, Aunt Cass!” greeted the messy-haired 16-year-old teenager.

“I’m sorry, I just woke up and wasn’t able to help right away,” he added.

“Oh, it’s totally fine, my little collage man,” Aunt Cass replied.

“Besides, it’s your winter vacation and you must be enjoying it,” she continued.

To begin his daily "routine", Hiro then got a cup of hot chocolate and watched the TV screen leaning on the counter of the café. Suddenly, breaking news was shown and some people turned their heads to the screen, well, some just didn’t care at all, and Hiro was one of them.

“Good morning, San Fransokyo,” said the news reporter.

“Breaking news: We’ve recently learned that the world renowned roboticist Robert Callaghan had just invented the first ever fully-functional time machine. Other scientists have tested this piece of invention and they were impressed with the results. It has been 1 year since Callaghan was bailed out of jail due to multiple cases by her wife. The showcase of the time machine will start tomorrow by 5 in the afternoon at the Ito Ishioka Robotics Lab in San Fransokyo Institute of Technology…”

Despite the further words spoken by the reporter, Hiro immediately informed his aunt that he’ll be heading to his school to talk to Callaghan.

“Aunt Cass, I’ll be going to my lab to fix something,” said Hiro.

“Okay,” replied Cass.

“But be home before 7!” She added.

“Got it!” These were the last words of Hiro before he was out of his aunt’s sight.

“Awwwe, I love my nephew, my little college man,” Aunt Cass loudly thought.

However, she has probably forgotten about her customers for there was already a very long line at the counter.

“Where’s the attendant, I already want a hot-chocolate,” a cold customer said, loud enough for Aunt Cass to hear.

“Coming up, sorry for taking long,” Aunt Cass said to the customers.
