4. Falling

Y/n opened her eyes, the sun was right in her face. She turned around, her eyes got big and she screamed. Tony, who was asleep beside her woke up and when he saw her he screamed too, 'why are we screaming?!' he asked when they stopped. Y/n flew up from the bed, noticing she was naked, she made a hand movement and Tony's sight disappeared, 'Why can't I see anything?!' he got up and fell over the clothes on the floor, y/n took the closest thing (a big t-shirt) and fixed his sight back. 'That's new' she mumbled and looked at her hands, Tony got up and her eyes went down immediately, she blushed and turned around, 'What?' Tony looked down, 'Oh..' he took his boxers. 'Did we?' she began, 'Yeah..' he finished. Fuck, did she really fuck her own boss? Now she was one in all of the women who had had sex with Tony Stark. She turned around, he had already put his suit back on, 'Well, I don't regret anything' he grinned, she took a pillow with her powers and hit him in the head with it, 'Ouch' - 'What was that for?' Y/n groaned.

He waited outside her apartment leaning against the car, even tho y/n told him to go to Avengers tower without her. When she got out and saw him she sighed, he smiled, 'Want a ride?' he opened the door, 'You know I can just make a portal there right?' he nodded, 'I'm driving' she walked passed him and got in the drivers seat. 'Edith tone the windows' he said and rolled his eyes, 'Why would you do that?', 'People can't see Tony Stark in his own car... driven by his assistant' - 'Reputations you know'. She started the car, 'Edith turn on Hit 'Em up style with Blu Cantrell' then she pushed a button and the roof disappeared from the car, Tony sighed and sank into the seat. She didn't drive like anyone else, he would remember that to future missions, she would be a perfect get-away-girl. Almost at the tower she pushed the button again and the roof came back, 'Edith turn off the music', 'What for now? don't wanna be seen?' he smiled at her and opened the door.

In the tower y/n got as far away from Tony as she could, he went to the lab with Banner and she saw Steve and Sam in the conference room. Steve smiled at her as she entered. 'Hey y/n, had good night?' she almost choked on her own saliva, 'Yeah... sure' she sat down and glanced at Tony, unfortunately all the walls was made of glass and you could see though everything. Tony saw her being in the room with Steve and Sam, he got jealous. 'Banner, I have these one-time lasers, I want to make them permanent' they got to work.
'So, I need to do this mission' Steve pointed at the hologram in front of them that showed a man with long hair in a cap, 'I need your help' he looked at Sam and then at y/n, 'I could really need you too' he said softly. 'I'm down', 'Yeah so am I' Sam stood up and left the room. Steve sat down beside y/n. 'I saw you and Tony coming here together' she looked away, embarrassed from the morning chaos, 'Is there something between you guys?' the question surprised her, y/n looked at Steve with a smile, 'No, he is my boss, that's all'.
Steve looked calmer, 'Oh great, because I was going to ask you if you wanted to go out with me someday' her smile got bigger, 'Yeah sure, why not' he placed a hand on her leg, the door opened, 'Hey Rodgers' he took his hand back and stood up, 'Hi Tony, what's up?', 'Oh I just need my assistant' pointing at y/n, she turned around in the chair she sat in, 'What is it?', Tony looked at Steve who rolled his eyes and left the room. 'Jeez what's his deal?' he sat down, 'I could almost ask you the same thing' giving him a deadly look, 'I need you for a mission', 'I can't', he looked surprised, 'Why not?', 'I'm helping Rodgers' he stared at her, 'You are my assistant, not his', 'Is that all i am?' he didn't answer, 'Wanda can help you' she mumbled and left the room.
Y/n didn't know why it hurt her when he didn't answer her question.

'I got her, wrapped around my finger' Steve smiled at Sam, he laughed, 'Good because we are going to need her, Tony won't like what we are going to do', 'Bucky is innocent' he looked at the hologram again, showing Nat and Walakanda's King and prince in an explosion, Bucky's face in an article next to it. 'I'll get Clint and Scott on the team' - 'I think Tony already have Rhodey, Nat and T'Challa' Steve nodded and looked at the room Tony sat in, alone. 'They won't get to him'.

The next day they met at an airport, Y/n stood a few meters away when Tony and Rhodey landed in front of Steve, 'wow it's so weird how you run in to people at the airport' he looked at Rhodey as his masked lifted, 'Don't you think it's weird?', 'Definitely weird' he answered. 'Hear me out Tony' Steve began, 'That doctor, psychiatrist, he's behind all of this' Black panther showed up and jumped beside Rhodey, 'Captain' he said with a dark voice, 'Your highness' Steve nodded. 'Anyway,Ross gave me 36 hours to bring you in' - 'That was 24 hours ago' Tony said, 'Can you help a brother out?', 'You are after the wrong guy', 'Your judgment is off, your war buddy killed innocent people yesterday' Tony looked tired, ran his metal fingers though his hair. 'And there is five more super soldiers just like him' - 'I can't let the doctors find them first Tony, I can't', y/n got nervous, had she picked the wrong team? 'Okay, I've run out of patient' - 'UNDERROOS' He screamed, a boy flew though the air and took caps shield.

Spider-man was down, Clint was down. Y/n shot Rhodey right through a plane, still wondering if this really was right. Steve and Bucky started to run towards a plane, her gut told her to change team. 'Tony!' he looked at her, fighting Scott, she tapped on her wrist, 'Give me a bracelet' she mouthed to him, he smiled and threw a metal bracelet to her, y/n cached it and put it on. With her powers she tore down a big building right in front of the plane. Ant-man distracted Tony and kicked her in the side, 'I'm so sorry but I can't let you do that' Tony blasted Scott right into a bus, 'Don't touch her'.
Nat let Steve and Bucky on the plane while electrifying T'Challa multiple times, 'Don't make me regret this' she said as they took off. 'No' y/n mumbled on the ground. Slapping on the bracelet, a suit came flying from inside the airport, red and silver. She flew up and was just about blast the plane with her hands when Sam came from nowhere and shot her in the back. The suit shut down immediately, 'shit, wrong missile' Sam mumbled, 'NO!' Tony shouted. 'Tony? Tony the suit doesn't work, help!!!' she panicked, her powers didn't work in the suit, he didn't hear her and she was falling right down. Y/n closed her eyes, thinking that this was it. Either Tony or Sam got in time to catch her, there was a loud bang and Tony rushed forward to her. 'I'm so sorry' Sam stood beside them, Tony blasted him, making him fall backwards. 'Edith?!' Tony laid y/n's head in his lap and ripped the mask off, y/n looked peaceful and dead, 'Heartbeat detected', he closed his eyes.
This isn't over Steve.
