Moving schools was a blessing. It's not that I didn't like my old school, but I craved for a fresh start. My father had gotten a new job in Colorado. He was a geologist, and had gotten a great job offer in South Park. Mom had offered that she and I stay in (hometown), and dad live in Colorado until the school year was over. I declined the offer even though the thought of transferring schools made me nervous. The major thing that made me nervous was the transition with the volleyball teams.
Volleyball was my passion, and I had been playing with the same people my whole life. My mom had sent my new school some videos on me playing last year, and they were eager to have me on the team. So, I already had a spot on the team, and that eased my nerves slightly. I main concern was how the girls would act. To be honest, all my life I had gotten along with boys way better than I did girls. The only reason I had my friends back home was because I grew up with them.
The more I thought about the subject, the larger the pit in my stomach got. I just had to push my thoughts to the back of my head until I got my room all pack up.
I had to get rid of a lot of my stuff when I packed my room up. I never realized how much stuff I had. Never the less, I had packed it all up and placed it in the moving truck. I got into the car with my mom to get ready to leave. It didn't take long for me to fall asleep in the car, which made the trip go quite fast. Soon enough, I woke up in the small town of South Park, Colorado.
