Annabeth was seriously considering NOT going up on deck when the alarm sounded. But that was not like her at all.
As a daughter of Athena, she should be the first one up there to help make a strategy for the seven.
Hazel got up immediately and ran out of the door hugging her stomach as usual, groaning something about the retched boat she was on.
"Annabeth," Percy said. "Stay in bead and I'll be back in a minute, okay?"
Annabeth's first thought that came into her head, came out of her mouth. "No." she said to him in a rather commanding tone. "I'm coming with you no madder what, Seaweed Brain!"
Percy slowly helped her up and together they walked out of the door. Annabeth felt like sinking to the ground after what she had seen in her nightmares.
Bob the titan was in her dreams alot. He would plead with her to let him come up to the earth with the one giant that Annabeth knew that was good.
In her nightmares was none other than Kelly, the empousa. Every time she went to bed Kelly would rake her fingers across Annabeth's face.
But the worst dream of all was about the old ladies that handed out free curses. When Annabeth went blind that was bad enough. But then Percy had left her. That was unbearable.
Annabeth was forced back into reality when the ship rocked sideways sending her sprawling on the floor.
Percy helped her up.
His hand felt strong and sure; always ready to give her a helping hand.
"Come on Percy, there's definitely something big up there.
They made their way up to the deck and saw that nothing was up their except it their friends.
Even Hazel, who was sea sick was up on deck staring at something like everybody else was.
"What is it?" Percy asked.
Annabeh walked over to the mast and there hung the shield of Thalia.
Aegis.
"Percy!" Annabeth 0practiclly screamed. "Get over here!"
Percy walked over and stared open mouthed at the shield.
Frank (being the tallest) walked calmly as if not fazed and took the shield off of the mast.
"There's a note." he exclaimed.
Frank walked over with the shield towards Annabeth. He tripped on the way and fell over sending the shield to Annabeth. She caught it and looked at the note.
Inside it read.
The crew of seven
You all have fought brave
But we have took something
That you can not save
In Rome we are
Not far are you
And in your ship
There lies a clue
