The Blood of Olympus (Percy Jackson Fanfiction)

Percy

Percy woke up before everyone else that morning. He'd been having dreams.

Now demigods had dreams constantly. Every body knew that. But recently, his had been worse. Well, not worse than Tartarus, but worse than your typical half-blood.

In his dreams he had saw Nico, Coach Hedge, and Reyna. They had been trapped in a cell.

Then his dream shifted. now he was staring at a set of griffins pulling someone down a hall. Percy had heard shouting from . . . somebody. Definitely a girl. And the voice sounded familiar.

Thalia!

Suddenly he awoke and sat upright in his bed. Percy was already halfway out the door when he remembered to put clothes on. No doubt the others would take him less serious if he showed up at the Mess Hall in only his blue dolphin boxers.

Now that would be embarrassing. After putting on some dark blue jeans and a worn Camp Half-Blood T-shirt, he exited his room and grabbed Coach Hedge's old megaphone.

"The cow goes moo!" Everyone except Leo scrambled out of bed and was in the hallway in a flash. Percy saw Jason stifle a laugh at Frank (who unlike Percy, had forgotten to put on pants). A red-faced Frank turned into a bulldog and tromped back to his room.

A good five minutes later, he returned to the hallway. "Sorry" he murmured. "I thought there was a cow loose on the ship."

Hazel laughed and directed the attention away from Frank.

"So" she said, "Why on Earth was a cow going moo?" Percy stepped in front of everybody and opened his hands as if he wanted a hug. And after my dreams, he thought to himself, I could sure use one.

"Before I tell everyone why there was a cow in the hall, we need to get Leo." Piper knocked on Leo's door softly and when there was no response, she opened the door like she owned the place.

As soon as the door was all the way open Leo came bursting out, falling over Piper and Percy.

"AAhhhh!!" he shouted. Then he stood up and grinned like a madman. Piper and Percy stood up, and they didn't look like they knew whether to laugh or yell.

"Ugh, what was that about Leo?" Jason inquired.

"A guy has to have a laugh every once and a while, right? He replied.

For a second, everybody just stood there until Annabeth brought them back to Earth. "Percy- you wanted to tell us something?"

"Oh, yah. Let's meet in the Mess Hall in ten." Being the only ones out of there pajamas, Frank and Percy both made their way to the Mess Hall while everyone else changed.

Percy noticed Frank had a look of awkwardness on his face. "Hey man, what's up?" Percy asked.

"Oh, umm." Frank replied. "I was just wondering if you knew . . . uh. Well I was wondering if you knew whether or not Leo has a crush on Hazel."

Percy turned to look at him, astonished. He couldn't believe that Frank thought that Leo was going to make a move on his girl.

"Of course not!. I, mean maybe at one point, but as impossible Leo can be, he knows not to do anything . . . rash."

A not so convinced Frank gave him a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. They sat down at the Mess Hall table and waited for the others.

* * *

Ten minutes later, everyone was gathered around the table and they were all looking at Percy.

"So, last night I had a dream. In it, Coach Hedge, Nico, and Reyna were locked up in some kind of a prison cell. And there were griffins pulling them down a hallway. And there's something else. In another cell there was a girl trapped. It was Thalia."

The effect was immediate.

At once everyone erupted in questions. After a minute or two, Percy (with the help of Annabeth) had quieted everyone down.

"Ok," she said. "So not only are we going to rescue Thalia, But we've got to rescue the others. and thanks to Percy's dream, we also know that the creatures who left the note are griffins. So now all we have to do is rescue them and be on our way to stop Gaea."

Suddenly Festus creaked over the intercom.

Everyone looked at Leo who stated in a matter-of-fact tone, "Festus found the Floating coliseum."

Everyone ran up deck (Percy still eating his syrup drowned pancake) and sure enough, there stood the mighty coliseum.
