Somewhere in Italy

Inside the dense forest there exist a beautiful mansion. A brunette can be seen standing in front of the mansion.

It was very quiet. Too quiet for Tsuna's liking. Maybe because of that Tsuna started to reminisce the once lively mansion. He could hear the laughter and shouting of his family surrounding him.

This was his home. Their home. Yet, what's in front of him now is only an abandoned mansion. Only silence and loneliness had welcomed him as he stood by the door.

Tsuna had collected enough money to buy the mansion. After years of working, finally, he can finally return to ̶h̶i̶s ̶h̶o̶m̶e̶ this mansion

Tsuna took a deep breathe before pushing the door open. It was very dark inside. No source of light can be seen. He stepped inside and closed the door.

As the darkness envelopes him, a small voice escaped his lips.

"Tadaima "

Thud. Thud. Thud. Tsuna's footsteps resounds as he walked in the dark. Tsuna passed by many rooms. Even in total darkness, his steps didn't falter nor did he bumped into anything. He was too familiar with this place after all.

Tsuna stops walking as he reaches a room. It was his bedroom. He entered the room and after seeing the familiar furnitures, his steps started to turn shaky. His feet felt on the floor. His hands gripped tightly at the nearest wooden chair. The chair was the only thing keeping him from falling down. This made Tsuna sigh in relief. He took off his shoes and placed them near the bedside table. Then, he slowly moved towards the bathroom.

After taking a warm shower, he sat at the bed. His mind wandered again. He missed them so much. The memories start to flood back. Every chaotic morning where everyone would burst into his room, waking him up loudly. The time when Reborn would wake him up Vongola Style. He let out a dry chuckle.

There will be no more of those, he thought. They will have their own lives and he won't be around anymore. He tried to fight his tears but it was useless. He cried silently. Tears streaming down his face and onto his pillow. A sob escapes his mouth. He wiped his eyes and continued crying.

He turned around to lay in his bed, his head resting against the soft pillow. With the last bit of strength he has, Tsuna closes his eyes.

When he woke up, he wasn't sure if he slept or not. He looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was already 7pm. He slept for so long yet he didn't feel like he had slept a wink. Rather, his chest was heavy and his body felt extremely tired.

His body aches but it doesn't matter right now. He got up and went to wash his face. He stared into the mirror in the bathroom and thought that he should probably eat. But then again, he wasn't hungry.

In fact, he felt nauseous.

Before he knew it, his body gave in and he fell to the ground. He clutched at his chest and coughed out blood. His vision became blurry as tears streamed down his cheeks. His heart hurt even more. The world faded into darkness again.

...........................................

Few hours later~
When Tsuna regained consciousness, he noticed that he was on the bed. He looked around and it was still the same room he was in before he fainted in the bathroom.

He tried to get up when the door opened. Delicious smell of food wafted into the room.

"Tsu-chan~ I brought you food~ ".

While holding a tray of food, Byakuran entered the room with a large grin on his face. Tsuna was surprised to see him.

"Byakuran? What are you doing here? "

After moving the overbed table, Byakuran put down the tray in front of Tsuna. He put his elbow on the table and rested his chin on his hands. And with his signature grin, he answered.

"I missed you, Tsu-chan, so I decided to come by after knowing you'd come here. Forget about that, you should eat Tsu-chan! I knew you would forget to eat again! Here, I made some porridge full of love for you~ "

A faint smile finally appeared on Tsuna's face. "Arigatou, Byakuran "

"No problem~ ". Byakuran grinned.

After eating, Byakuran gave Tsuna two sun pills and forced Tsuna to sleep. Even though Tsuna wasn't really sleepy, he relented and closed his eyes. A warm hand gently caresses his hair, lulling him to sleep.

As Tsuna fell into a deep sleep, the smile that was on Byakuran's face faded. He lowered his head and clenched his hands angrily.

He remembered the scene that he saw in the bathroom. A bloody Tsuna, left alone and in pain. He hates himself for not being there when Tsuna needed someone.

He whispered slowly to the sleeping Tsuna.

" I wish you'd be more selfish, Tsuna. I am selfish too. For wanting to have you for myself when clearly you already have him in your heart ".

Byakuran stood up and grabbed the tray. He closed the light and left the room as quietly as possible, not noticing the faint glow of orange on the bed.

" Gomenne, Byakuran. I'm actually very selfish. Very, very selfish "

Heyaa, am I extremely late? Yes, yes I am. I admit that ahaha. Sorry about that. I just found a very very good app that helps my writing block a lot! I'm satisfied enough with how this chapter turns out haha. Honestly Byakuran wasn't meant to appear here. Or was he? I'm not sure xD. Also, yes, this chapter happens around the time when Ieyasu first met with Haya-chan. What is he gonna do here you ask? Well I won't explain it in detail but he indeed stayed in the mansion throughout the time Ieyasu met his guardians. Hope y'all enjoyed it :3
