Daiyu Makes an Offer

Daiyu and Renjun are on their way to the nurse's office, Renjun still clinging to the girl's arm. "I really didn't think this through. How am I going to get permission to stay with Renjun if I don't disclose his condition to her, that's assuming that he doesn't want me to tell her," Daiyu mutters to herself, slightly frowning.
Renjun notices this and begins to reassure her softly to the best of his ability.
"Don't frown Dai Dai, 's ok!" He reaches up with one hand to gently rub her creased forehead.
Daiyu decides that she will lie to the nurse saying that Renjun had a panic attack and needs a place to calm down, and that he feels most comfortable when she is with him. In a way it's not a lie as the male does seem to feel most comfortable around the girl, plus he does need a place to calm down, but the reasoning behind it is completely different. The two arrive shortly after to the nurse's office. The two walk in, where Ms. Choi is behind her desk.
"What's wrong?" the young nurse asks.
"Hi Ms. Choi, Renjun here had a panic attack in the cafeteria after one of the cooks dropped something in the kitchen making a loud noise. He needs a place to calm down and he asked me to stay with him, isn't that right Renjun?" Daiyu explains. Renjun nods his head rapidly in agreement with the girl.
"I see, well we have the room in the back where you two can stay," Ms. Choi nods her head.
"So I can stay with Renjun?" Daiyu asks in shock.
"I don't see why not plus it looks like Renjun has calmed down quite a bit in your presence alone."
The two follow the nurse to the back room which contains a bed, a bookshelf full of various different books, a plush chair, fairy lights, a pile of soft blankets, and a bunch of little trinkets to play with.
Renjun immediately lays down on the bed, letting go of Daiyu's arm. She immediately walks over to the pile of blankets, causing Renjun to whine before he sees her heading back towards him. She climbs in bed with him causing him to curl against her side, wrapping his arms around her waist, nuzzling his head into her neck. Daiyu rests her head on top of his and the two slowly fall asleep.
When the two wake up, Renjun is back to his normal self.
"I'm sorry if I caused you any inconvenience with my actions," he apologizes.
"You have nothing to apologize for, it's not like you can control it. Plus I will always help you in a heartbeat," the girl smiles.
"The other version sees you as his caretaker now."
"Then I will be the one to take care of you."
"Can I stay with you? Along with the others, if that's ok. We all don't really have a place to stay yet," Renjun asks, his mind drifting to the rundown motel he and the others had been staying in since their escape. He shutters slightly at the thought of the moth eaten bed sheets, lumpy mattress, and the build up of mold and mildew within the room and bathroom. Thinking back upon it, he wonders why the mental institution hadn't bothered reporting them missing after how hard the institution tried to prevent them from escaping. Probably not to cause mass hysteria, he presumes. He snaps back to reality upon hearing Daiyu's response.
"Yeah I don't see why not, the other girls and I live in an apartment, courtesy of my parents, so you know it's really big, and we have extra rooms. I'll ask the others but I'm pretty sure they will say yes."
The two teens finally decide to get up from the bed and head out to their next class, which happens to be the last one of the day and Daiyu's favorite. They head to a different room than their home room as the class is art, which can get quite messy. Upon entering, Professor Lee ushers them to their seats as the bell had rung 5 minutes before they arrived. The two take their seats.
Finally the dismissal bell rings and the two begin to pack up their stuff before exiting the classroom.
"So Renjun and I talked about having him and the others stay with us, is that ok with everyone?" Daiyu asks the other three girls, wanting to make sure that it was ok with her friends before making a final decision.
"I honestly don't really care, after all, the apartment is yours so it's your decision," Jae responds.
"Sure, I don't mind if they stay with us," Chanmi smiles.
"Ok," Kwan nods in agreement.
"Great!" Daiyu exclaims before turning to the four boys, "I know that Renjun is ok with this but are you three cool with this or would you prefer to stay where you are?" Daiyu asks, wanting to make sure that the boys are comfortable.
"There is no way that I'm passing up on an opportunity to escape from that hell hole!" Donghyuck responds as soon as the girl is finished talking, nearly cutting her off, while the other two boys just nod in response.
"So it's settled then!"
At that, the group heads out of the school.
Story Unlocked: Renjun see's Daiyu as his 'caretaker' or someone who will protect him and take care of him. The boys had been staying in a rundown motel ever since their escape but with Daiyu's offer, they now have a nice place to stay. We'll learn more in the next chapter.
Authors Note: After like 2 months, I'm finally back! I had over half, around 3/4s, of this chapter completed and in my drafts when I suddenly got stuck and ran out of ideas but I finally figured out how to complete it. I'm not 100% satisfied with how the ending of this chapter turned out but it will have to do. After all, not everything goes as planned sometimes.
