" what did i say about falling in love ? " sungchan smiled at the smaller , holding tightly onto her hands. they were in the hospital , choreum had came by to visit the taller.
" that i can never see you the same again ? do you know ? when i first spilled my coffee over you , i thought you were a douchebag. " choreum smiled , as she slowly got up and laid next to sungchan on his hospital bed.
" hello ma'am , what - " but sungchan stopped when the latter cut him off by kissing him on the lips.
" look at me now , in love with you. " she desperately tried not to think about the upcoming days. they had known each other for almost six months. they never realized how much they had grown closer to each other , how much they had meant to each other.
it was truly a healing trip , it helped choreum to move on from jeno but now she was falling in love with someone who she knows that she would not be able to spend her lifetime with.
" choreum. " sungchan broke her thoughts. " please promise me , promise me that you would go back to korea once i'm gone. " sungchan smiled.
choreum wanted to cry , she really wanted to cry , but she did not want the sungchan to cry. she wanted him to be happy.
" let's not talk about that. " she turned around , not facing sungchan anymore. a tear drop came sliding down her cheeks.
" i know you're crying. please don't cry. i will always be with you. " he tried to hug her , but he couldn't because of all the wires that were connected to him.
" the doctor told me i would probably be discharged soon. i told him that i wanted to spend my daywith you. please don't cry. " sungchan tried his hardest not to breakdown too.
days passed , sungchan was finally discharged. his head hurt a lot , but he tried his best to never show that to choreum. he told her that he wanted to bring her out on a date. he wanted to give choreum something , a piece of him that would be with her forever.
" little moon. " something sungchan had started calling choreum. choreum never told him that jeno used to call her that , he just assumed it fit her well. she was a little moon that brightened up his dull life.
" yes ? " the pair were at the movies. they had never gone on a proper candle lit dinner date , they always had gone to picnics and such. sungchan wanted this day to be memorable to her.
" show me your wrist. " he took out a bracelet , a bracelet that he made with love. it was a crescent moon , just like the one he had made for ahri , but this one had a special locket that completed the moon.
he carefully put it around choreum's wrist.
" this is so beautiful channie. " she tiptoed to kiss the taller.
after their dinner and spending a day a night watching movies at the theater , the couple were back at their apartment's rooftop. both of them just sat there in silence , looking up at the stars. they were stargazing together.
" can i , can i lay my head over your shoulders ? " sungchan asked the choreum.
" why is that even a question ? " she sat up against the bench , allowing the latter to lay his head over her shoulders.
she slowly moved him and laid his head on her lap.
" the moon looks so pretty. " sungchan smiled one last time. he slowly closed his eyes. minutes passed and sungchan did not say a word.
choreum caressed his hair , tears streaming down her face.
" you know what's prettier ? the stars. because i can see you up there. you're smiling at me , aren't you ? " choreum cried , she cried loudly. she had once again lost her love.
" i will take care of him. " a soft voice said , she knew it was jeno. she smiled sadly.
" sleep well , my love. just know that i never wasted my love over you. " her head hung low.
under this same moonlight , you told me to smile so bright , under this same moonlight , but now you're gone , six feet under the ground , i'm walking towards you , but you're not , you are just there , laying peacefully , while i'm here , still thinking about the fateful night where we kissed under this beautiful moonlight.
