August 14th, 2031.

Giulia and Elio spent all of the next day thinking about their decision. They talked about it for hours, but both of them knew what had to be done.

"So first thing's first: We've gotta practice using our stands." Giulia told him. The two of them had walked to a nearby park, and the spot was pretty empty that day. "I know I could take a few guys, but you on the other hand? I don't even know what your stand is or what it does." Elio nodded. "That's true, I've never actually had to use it before now."

Giulia put her hands together. "Today we're gonna change that." She walked over to the nearest trash can and dragged it a few feet ahead of where Elio was standing. She walked back over to him, put a hand on his shoulder, and pointed at it. "Pretend that can is the stand from yesterday. Lazarus? Yeah, that was it." She instructed him. "Summon your stand and use it to attack that thing." Elio did as she asked. He concentrated, and next thing he knew, there it was.

It had a head in the shape of a diamond with black ovals for eyes. Its body was made out of gold and split into two halves, the top half resembling a slot machine and the bottom half simply a rectangular prism with six dice attached to it on one side and six bingo balls attached to it on the other. It had huge crystals floating next to it, almost looking like arms of some sort. It had huge crystals floating next to it, almost looking like arms of some sort. Giulia looked at the thing, a little underwhelmed. "I thought i

A small pair of dice formed in Elio's hand. He threw them, wondering what they would do. They dropped to the ground, turning up a five. The slot machine half reacted to it, and what looked like a tiny piece of paper appeared in his hand. Elio studied it, confused. "Is this supposed to be a ticket or something?" He wondered. Suddenly, the paper slip morphed into a bingo ball. Giulia was unimpressed. "...Seriously? That's it? You'd think it'd be something cooler, but I guess not." She sighed. "Wait, I think I hear something." Elio said. He quickly realized what it was and chucked it towards the garbage can. The ball blew up on impact, leaving a hole in it.

The two looked at each other, and then back at the garbage can. "That was amazing." Giulia beamed. "Do it again!"

The dice had reappeared in Elio's hand, and once again, he threw them. This time they turned up an eleven. Another paper slip formed, but this time it simply disappeared. The next thing they knew, the stand started gathering up energy. Elio dove out of the way, and before he knew what had happened, there was an explosion. He carefully got up and looked around for Giulia, who'd jumped behind a nearby bench. She carefully peeked from behind it and let out a surprised gasp. Elio turned around to see what had happened, and was just as suprised as she was.

The garbage can was no more. There were bits of metal and trash debris scattered everywhere.

"ONETWOTHREENOTMYFAULT-" Giulia yelled, running from the scene. Elio panicked for a second and ran off with her.

When they thought they'd gotten far enough away, the two stopped to take a breath. After Giulia caught her breath, she grabbed onto Elio's shoulders and shook him. "What the hell was that back there?!" She asked him, shocked. "I-I don't know! All I know is I ended up getting an 11, and then that can was in shambles!" He told her. Giulia calmed down a bit and thought. There was a silence between the two for a few minutes. Elio came to a realization. "I think I understand how my stand works." He told Giulia. She raised an eyebrow. "Do tell, that thing's got me stumped."

"So from what I can tell, its attacks vary in power based on what number shows up on the dice. If I get something six or below, it's a weaker attack that I have to deliver myself, and if it's seven or higher, the stand carries it out itself and causes more destruction the higher it goes." He explained. "Therefore, it's abilities work based on chance."
