August 17th. Night.

The group froze in their tracks.

Dionysus looked at them all with an evil smirk on his face. "I knew you'd be coming, so I decided to deal with you myself." He swished the hair out of his face and pointed at Elio. "You'll be coming with me no matter how this turns out."

He snapped his fingers, and this strange feeling seemingly took over Elio. "Whoa!" He stumbled a little, but Fibonacci caught him. They felt Giulia leaning on them for support. "Something feels weird, but it's like... a good kind of weird, y'know?" Giulia said, a weird calm in her voice. Fibonacci looked at her, concerned. They felt a sort of squeeze and realized Elio had started hugging them. "You have some kind of protective aura, Fi... It's kinda nice." He told them. He snapped out of it for a second. "W-wait, what did I just say?"

Fibonacci looked at Vincenzo, who was just as confused as they were. They heard Dionysus chuckle. "They're drunk. At least, in some kind of way. It's moreso just a feeling of intoxication, but it's going to get progressively worse the longer this goes on." He explained.

Elio let go of Fibonacci. He tried standing up on his own, but promptly collapsed onto the ground. A little laugh came out of him. "Whoops!" He shrugged, a big goofy smile on his face. Giulia laughed at him and stumbled over to him.

Vincenzo started angrily walking up to Dionysus, but was stopped in his tracks by Fibonacci. "What the fuck did you do to them?!" Vincenzo asked him, shouting angrily. Dionysus chuckled again. "You see, they might be drunk now, but next thing you know they'll be hallucinating. After the hallucinations? A slow downhill run towards outright insanity." He explained calmly. "I call it After Hours."

They heard the sound of Elio and Giulia laughing behind them and assumed Giulia must have fallen over due to the thud sound seconds later. The chains appeared and wrapped around Vincenzo's arm, and he thrusted his hand towards Dionysus in an effort to hold him there. He missed, and Dionysus carefully stepped out of the way. A strange looking dagger appeared in his hand, and he threw it at Vincenzo with the grace of a swan. It lodged itself in Vincenzo's arm, and Fibonacci slowly removed it to prevent as much bleeding as they could.

Vincenzo felt some sort of intoxicated sensation, just like the other two had. Fibonacci wrapped a bandage around his arm, and it gave off a soft glow. Vincenzo stumbled a bit, but he could still walk fine. "Okay, I think I get it. They both got hit with something at some point in time and that's how they wound up like..." Vincenzo gestured back to Elio and Giulia, still laughing like hyenas, tripping and falling over each other. "...that." He finished

"It works faster for them because they've never touched a drop of alcohol in their lives." Fibonacci added. Dionysus nodded. "Correct. Glad you figured it out." He clapped. "The more time you spend talking, though, the worse their condition gets. The worse yours gets, too." A dark grin crept across Dionysus' face.

Vincenzo and Fibonacci heard a scream and turned around to find Elio clinging onto Giulia, terrified. "Get it away, get it away!" He shouted frantically, scrambling to run but falling again. Fibonacci quickly realized what was going on. "They're hallucinating."

Four scalpels quickly phased into Fibonacci's hand. They motioned for Vincenzo to run across the room, ans he did so. Quickly, they turned around and hurled the scalpels at Dionysus. Two of them just barely grazed him. He scoffed. "What the hell! I just had this outfit cleaned yesterday! Do you have any idea how expensive this thing is?! I can't risk getting blood all over it!" He flipped out. Vincenzo used this as an opportunity to strike and sent a bunch of chains hurtling Dionysus' way. Before he even knew what was happening, he was wrapped up in chains and couldn't move.
