"He what?!" Morelia exclaimed, jumping up from the single couch that sat in the living room of her newly bought apartment.
Simone nodded at her angered face expression. "He's in jail now though."
"That's not the point mija. He still put his hands on you, he deserves longer than the time he's serving now." Morelia believed in forgiveness but she also believed in consequences on someone's actions. Forgiveness always came after discipline with her.
"They keep reducing his sentence so I don't see how that's possible anymore." She mumbled hearing the front door open.
"I don't appreciate how y'all got us slaving away, carrying boxes up here while y'all sitting there doing nothing." Maimai complained putting the box of kitchen utensils on top of the island counter. "Nobody even asked you to come here. You suggested that you could help." Simone says.
"Ok but I thought you would of insisted on me staying at home anyways. I didn't think you would actually let me come." Simone rolled her eyes at her best friend giving her attention back to Morelia. "Jj is so cute. I just can't stop gushing over her."
"She has your first name as her middle." Morelia's eyes widened a little with a curved smile. "Seriously?" Simone nodded.
"You're her god mother, why wouldn't it be." Even before Juwellyz was born, Simone had already knew the roles that would be applied to her close friends and family. Maimai, Kameron, and Celeste were her aunts and uncles of course. Including her half siblings regardless if Simone had just met them. And Morelia, her godmother. "Godmother?!"
"I know I didn't really have a chance to ask you...but I decided anyway. I hope that's not-" Simone stopped herself to feel Morelia pulling her into a tight hug. "That's not a problem at all. I would love to."
"I done carried 10 boxes up here." Kross said laying the box of bathroom essentials on the floor next to the entrance of the apartment. "I did my part."
"I think that's all...right?" Morelia looked around the empty living room for any missing boxes that needed to be brung up. "Titan's still bringing a few boxes...you the one my daughter needed a lawyer for?" Kross eyed Morelia up and down who innocently smiled at the man above her. "Yea. This is Ms. Go-"
