Naveen's mother insisted he go and stand beside Anita, totally denying to listen to his words. Defeated to his mom, Naveen was presently near his fiance, faking a small smile so that none could detect the ache his soul is enduring.

On the other hand, Naina was knocking on her sister's room vigorously until Maira unlocked it. "What?" Maira asked in a small tone, her throat barely giving space for her voice to leave her mouth. "Why aren't you ready yet! Mom and dad are asking for you, hurry Akka(elder sister)" she let out and ran down the stairs.

Maira didn't want to meet her Naveen mama. What might he think of her? She was afraid of his reaction. 'Will he be angry at me?' Maira's mind was occupied with a bunch of negative thoughts, blocking the light of positiveness to blur in the darkness.

Puffing out air from her mouth, she attempted to calm herself. No matter what, one day she must have to face him, so there's no use If she decided to play hide and seek now.

She eased herself.

Maira then wore a red saree and she didn't even bother to check her appearance in the mirror, cause she knows, the Maira who would stare back at her from the mirror will be a mess.

She took the elevator to reach the down floor.

Down in the main hall, a hip-hop song was being played, which seemed like it will probably make half of the people in the auditorium deaf. It's truly ear-deafening.

Naveen's mother who got very annoyed at this, strived ahead to the music operating room to scold those guys. And she did so.

She ordered them to put on a Tamil song and they nodded their head like puppets. Naveen's mother can be scary and strict sometimes, but she is very sweet to the people she loves...and Maira was number one on the list.

Exactly at the instant when Maira came out of the elevator to the main hallway, a love song commenced to play on the speakers surrounding the aisle.

She hesitantly darted her eyes to look at her Naveen mama. It saddens her to see him stand so close to another girl, adding to it--a smile was swimming across his lips. She sighed shakily as she made her way toward her parents.

However, Maira was blocked by Naveen's mother who got in her way. She smiled looking up and down at Maira. "You look lovely" she commented pinching her cheeks.

Just like that, they both were immersed in speaking something.

Shortly after the conversation came to an end, Maira again peeked at her Naveen mama...who was now staring right back at her.

She expected herself to be scared when their eyes meet but contrary to her predictions, all she felt was hurt..one word to sum it all up.

Maira somehow managed to shuffle in the hall for a few minutes and then she couldn't handle herself.

Having no other options, she tugged her body up to her room. She so badly needs a break from everything.
