"Scott!" Scott forced his eyes away from the ginger and looked over to his best friend "you good? What's got your attention?" his eyes managed to shift back to the girl who has now disappeared through the crowd of teens. "Melaney"
"Your neighbor?" Stiles asks "yeah there's something about her" Scott says. "What do you mean?" they walked inside the school continuing down the hall "I don't know I just got this...feeling"
"Feeling? As in pretty girl feeling or supernatural feeling?"
"Both. She's something, I caught this scent from her on the first day of school I never smelt it the day in my life" he pauses "dude we got to figure out what she's is" Scott walks ahead of the boy who wasn't up to that plan. "How about we don't, don't you think we have enough on our plate right now?"
"Yeah, but she lives next to me if I don't figure this out it's going to drive me mad, I can't just ignore it she lives too close to me for me to just ignore"
"Okay, so what do we know about her?"
"That her name is Melaney Montgomery and she's from some town called Mystic falls" Stiles nods "and?"
"That's all I know..." Scott trails off "Great now I going to have to do all the work"

It's been a few days since School started 5 days to be exact, Melaney still didn't make any friends or had made any progress with her neighbor Scott Mccall. The days were kinda a blur she would get up in the morning, go to school, come home, do her homework, and scroll through social media for endless hours until it was time to go to bed to have the energy to repeat the same day. It was now Friday which meant she had no homework to do and instead of scrolling on her phone she decided to go out.
"Ghost as in literal ghost?" Melaney asks
in confusion trying to wrap her head around what her best friend was seeing. "Yes, actual ghost," Jeremy says through the phone."I think it's cute your ex-girlfriends are haunting you" she laughs.
"This isn't funny Mel"
Melaney walks down the sidewalk after exiting the store she was just in, her phone was pressed to her ear she heard everything in the background but she didn't question all the noise. She stops in her tracks noticing a familiar face.
Great, she thought to herself turning around wanting to avoid him as much as she can. "Okay sorry, have you told Bonnie?"
"That I'm seeing my dead ex-girlfriend ghost who I use to be in love with?" she could imagine his eyes rolling in annoyance "no, I can't tell her that at least not now"
"And what about Matt have you told him?"
"No" he trails off "Jeremy!"
"I can't just tell him I'm seeing his dead sister!"
Melaney stops in her tracks when she saw another familiar face. She turns around to see one of the twins she saw earlier walking towards her, she internally groans and turns back to the other twin who was also walking to her as well. "Jeremy-I have to go"
"Wait-"
She didn't waste any time hanging up on her best friend and running across the street she could hear them behind her. She did her best to stay as far as she could from the two and they were fast but she was faster, she flips over a car getting further away from them before vanishing into thin air which would look like to the two werewolves.
A classic cloaking spell was remembered for moments like these, but when you're a new vampire and your magic powers of a witch aren't as strong as they use to be that cool cloaking spell doesn't last long. It wears off and suddenly everyone can see you again but Melaney is hiding behind a corner of a building the twins couldn't see her but they could smell her.
