Jean has always been that little girl who's so engrossed in any romance media. Novels, songs, movies, art, you name it. Naturally, she would be enthralled at the fact that she gets to play wingman whenever her friends and cohorts come and ask for advice regarding their love interests. Right?

Ever since her senior year started, Jean's fascination for romance slowly dissipated once she joined the school's student council. It's not completely gone. She still regularly consumes media of that genre, but she's finding herself subtly scowling at the sight of any couple out there. Most particularly, her co-members in the council who for some reason are all couples except her, Albedo, and Diluc. If they didn't have a lover in the council, they had one outside the council.

At the start, she absolutely adored seeing them blindly in love with each other and she always tuned in to see what would come out of their relationship. However, them being blindly in love is exactly why she doesn't like tolerating them anymore.

They always gush about wanting to be together but it's obvious that they're stalling for time. For what reason? Nothing. There's literally nothing they get for not doing the first move yet they still act like couples anyway. Their words are way too cheesy and corny that it makes not only Jean but also everyone cringe. They're madly in love with their other half but Jean can't understand why they're acting like Shakespeare couples. It's so infuriating.

Valentine's Day is tomorrow. Despite knowing what will happen, Jean looks forward to it. The student council came up with a special program for their teachers since that is what their school always does every year. Each section will have their own surprises for their designated facilitators and there will be performances from various performing arts clubs. Certain booths and stalls were prepared in celebration of the day of love such as a Marriage Booth, photobooth, a Confession Wall, etc. Jean is most excited about the Cooking Club's contribution to a Valentine's Day themed food stall.

As president of the council, preparing all of these was exhausting as usual, but she knows that it will all pay off in the end.

In addition to all their plans, students get to wear civilian clothing for the day, with the catch of following a color-coding scheme based on their relationship status. Albedo, the council's Historian, did a great job in making a digitally-made poster for the students' reference. In no particular order, she evaluated each color and wondered which one she'll wear for tomorrow.

Red, for when you are in a relationship. Nope. As much as Jean is a romance enthusiast, she has never been in a relationship before.

Perhaps she should choose purple? It stands for "No relationship since birth" so it definitely fits her. She doesn't know if she has any good purple clothing on her though. She doesn't want to go through the hassle of rummaging her wardrobe.

Blue, for when you are broken-hearted. Not a chance.

Yellow, for "Moving on". Yeah. Moving on to other colors.

Green, for "It's complicated". Jean never really understood that meaning. So she assumes that it doesn't apply to her anyway.

Pink, for "flirting". She herself would turn pink if she walked around knowing her close friends would tease her for that.

Brown, for when you are in the friendzone. She salutes any person who is brave enough to wear this color. Not her though.

White would make sense for everyone if she wore it. It means "studies first" and it's one of the safer options.

Grey, means "single and contented". It's another one of those colors that she expects to see an abundance of. She's sure that most students won't even be honest with their color of choice.
