We rode home from the safe house and I was overly happy about being welcomed the way Atlas had welcomed me, and how his friends were so nice to me as well.
After the week was over my best friend Mary and her husband and son were coming over, as well as Barron's girlfriend Jesica and I guess Camrin had missed me cus he rode along too.
When they pulled in and Camrin saw me on the porch swing with Atlas he gave me a look that said what the heck are you doing. I did not care though cus I did not like him anymore than a friend now.
It was so nice to see Mary and Henry again and her new baby boy named Axel. Axel was the cutest baby boy ever and even though his back story is unfortunate they still loved him as their own.
When I saw Camrin it was weird, he wanted a hug but I settled for a hand shake. Which he did not like and then when Atlas came up and grabbed around me Camrin trailed off to the vehicle they had arrived in.
Later that night we figured out the room situation. Atlas and I were going to sleep in his room, Mary Henry and Axel were going to sleep in my bed, Jesica was going to sleep with Barron and Camrin was going to sleep on the couch in the living room.
When we were eating dinner everyone had a conversation going on, Barron and Jesica were catching up, Mary and Alex were talking while feeding Axel, Hunter and Henry were talking about their jobs and about having Henry help him with a horse that needs to be broken in tomorrow. Then there was me, Camrin, and Atlas. Camrin and Atlas were talking about school and they were trying to sound cool to each other when they knew neither were impressive. Atlas was talking about cattle driving and roping while Camrin talked about shooting fish with a bow. They liked similar things but there was too much tension for them to get along. Atlas must have gotten uncomfortable because he left to go for a walk. Camrin sat next to me and then started to talk about school and life without me once he saw that Atlas had returned. Then he really started milking it out and Atlas's ears perked to listen. Then Camrin asked about me and if I missed him, I just said that I missed everything but I was also happy to be with the people I love here in Texas. He scoffed at me after that so I left and asked Atlas to go on a walk with me.

"Sorry about him. I did not know he was coming or I would have warned you" I said.
"It's ok River, you didn't know. That's not your fault." Atlas said.
"Yeah I guess, I just feel bad." I said.
"It's ok. You don't like him do you?" Atlas asked.
"No, I never really liked him to be honest. Barron kinda pushed me into liking someone and he was my best option before you." I said.
"Oh, ok. Good. I was worried there for a moment." He replied.
We walked to the barn, looked at the newest member of the herd and then went to the house to go to sleep. When we walked in, Camrin brushed against me.
"I'll see you later." He said with a smirk.
"Huh, oh, ok I guess." I responded, a little unsure of what to say.
I had to go to my room to grab a few things, then I went to the bathroom to change. When I got in there was nothing wierd or out of place but then I started to change and Camrin came out of the shower with his shirt off and started to grab me. When he heard Atlas out the door looking for me he opened it and started to kiss me.
"Camrin, get off." I said.
"Oh come on babe, don't get shy on me now." Camrin said.
"River, are you kidding me! I thought you said you did not like him, well thanks for being my friend and then leaving me like that!!" Atlas said and slammed the door.
"Camrin, leave this house now, I swear if you ever come here again I will call the cops on you for doing this to me. I don't care what you think, that was abuse and I hate you." I said with more rage than ever. I got dressed and started to cry and told both Mary and Alex what happened, they took care of Camrin but I went after Atlas. I looked everywhere for him, I looked at the church, the land, the barn, all of his safe spots, then I went to the safe house and did not find him there either. I gave up and started to cry on the bed in our room of the safe house. I cried for hours and finally fell asleep.
