Alex POV
I sat on the roof of a building, watching the night sky. My trench coat fluttered against the wind. Two weeks ago, we defeated Whiplash and the White Skulls Gang and finally put an end to "Project Fang".
However, Lila and Vex are still at large. Hopefully, we don't have to see them again.
"Figured I'd find you here." A voice called out to me. I turned around and saw Tina in her vigilante attire. Her hood down and her blonde hair blowing in the winter breeze. On her lips was a small smile.
"Hey, T." I replied as she wrapped her arms around my shoulders.
"What's on your mind?" She asked.
"Just thinking about Lila and Vex 2.0. The police couldn't find them." I replied.
"Yeah. LB and the others said they'll keep and eye out for them. But, I have a feeling that they'll strike at any moment. So we'd better get ready." She said, leaning on my shoulder.
"Yeah. I even heard that Ryan, Spade King's right hand man, and his cronies were bailed from prison. Someone bribed the warden." I said.
Apart from the sound of the wind, silence trickled in the air.
"Which means we got more on our plates." Tina sighed.
"We'll handle it, right?" Lukas' voice asked behind us. We looked back and saw the gang.
"You have a bad habit of interrupting our alone time." I sighed.
"You mean your brooding time?" Adrien asked sarcastically. Everyone chuckled.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say, Alley Cat." I replied with a smirk.
"But, like Lukas said, we got this." Sabrina said.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
I sighed and looked at the moon.
Maybe. But something about this doesn't seem right. I thought.
Suddenly, Marinette's yo-yo started beeping. She answered the call.
"Hello?" She asked.
As the conversation continued, I could see Marinette's face turn from relaxed to shock.
"Stay hidden, mum. I'm on my way!" She replied and hung up.
"What is it, Milady?" Adrien asked.
"Lila and some members of the Spade Clan are at my house. They're trashing the whole place." She replied.
"Then let's head back ASAP!" Nino said.
We nodded in agreement and made our way back to Marinette's place.
