Marinette POV
Meanwhile.
The akuma's have been barging on the door of Agreste Manor. While Adrien, Nino, Lukas, Kagami and Sabrina were holding them off, the rest of us we barricading the bedroom door with everything we could find.
"This might not be enough to hold them back." Ivan panted as he placed the sofa onto the door, upright.
"Lockdown mode's been deactivated and the akuma's are getting more and more vexed." Nathalie said.
Ever since Shadow Saw and his army kidnapped Mayor Andre, everything went downhill for us. Most, if not all, of Paris have been akumatized. Ms Bustier, Principal Damocles, my parents. A this rate, we've already lost.
"We're getting pounded out here! We gotta fall back!" I heard Nino shout out.
"We let them in, we're screwed." Adrien replied as he kicked aside on of the akumas.
We looked outside and saw them surrounded by the akumas. I was just about to jump out of the window to help them until Mylene held me back.
"Are you crazy? It's to dangerous!" She cried.
"I can't just leave them!" I replied. Not waiting for an answer, I leaped out of the window and landed on one of the akumas, taking his spear.
"Milady! You shouldn't be here!" Adrien shouted.
"Doesn't matter! I'm not letting anyone else get hurt! Miraculous or not, I'm helping you." I replied as I blocked and arrow from Dark Cupid.
As we fought the akumas, more kept showing up. Despite our efforts, we were overwhelmed and surrounded.
"Time to give up, Marinette. You've lost." I heard my mother's voice as the akumas advanced towards us. I closed my eyes, anticipating the final blow.
Suddenly, an flash arrow struck the ground, blinding the akumas. A figure jumped down and kicked aside one of the akumas who tried to grab me. A boy in a black trench coat with a wolf symbol on the back. He had a jet black jumpsuit, a black chest plate with silver lining on the edges and sewed with Kevlar on the outside, black combat boots with iron leg plates, black gauntlets and a black wolf mask. In his hands were two escrima sticks.
"Shadow Wolf!?" I gasped.
"Wrong wolf, Lady Luck." The boy said.
It took me a second to recognise his voice.
"Alex!? But how!?" I gasped.
"No time to explain. Right now, we need to get to higher ground." He said and helped me up to my feet. He quickly lead me to the rooftops while the akumas searched for us. The others arrived. Alex took of his mask and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"Mari. Thank goodness your alright." Zoe sighed.
"What is he doing here!?" Ivan growled, pointing at Alex.
"Now, let me explain." Alex said, holding up his hands.
Ivan darted towards Alex and tried to punch him, only for him to be tripped over and pressed onto the ground with his arm behind his back. The others rushed in to help, but Tina stopped them.
"Wait, guys. This really Alex. Not Shadow Wolf." She said.
"The difference being?" Mylene asked.
"Just let us explain." Rodrigo said.
"First, let Ivan go." Adrien said.
Alex nodded and released Ivan, who got up and rubbed his sore arm. He still glared at Alex, who gave him an apologetic smile.
"Ok. Out with it." Ivan said.
Alex told us about what happened when he was captured by The Spade Clan. How he was tortured by the members and even raped by Lila. He even added how Shadow Wolf was created. After he finished, we stared at him with shock.
"My God. I know that Lila's a liar. But I didn't think that she would do something like this." Ivan said.
"You and me both." Adrien added, a scowl emerged from his face.
"It was a good thing we tracked him down as soon as we could." Rodrigo said. Tina nodded in agreement.
"So, those time when we fought Shadow Wolf. That was your dark side, right?" Zoe asked.
"Yeah. It's been there ever since my parents were murdered. Master Fu and Master Su-Han knew it was there." Alex replied.
"Actually, ever since I became the guardian, I felt a dark presence inside you. I didn't say anything about it because I never knew what it was. At least up until now." I said.
We heard the sound of a guitar blaring towards us.
"Oh no. Guitar Villain." Zoe gasped as she pointed to a man riding on a flying alligator.
"You guys go. I'll hold him off!" Rodrigo said and pulled out his twin Glocks.
"On your own?" Alex asked.
"I'll be fine. Go." Rodrigo urged.
We nodded and raced across the rooftops while Rodrigo was dodging sound waves from Guitar Villain.
