you woke up and got ready at the same time as every other day . you already had a set routine , so never had much to worry about in the morning

you arrived at the company and it was the same as always

there were some people looking at you and whispering , but you didn't care anymore

you went to your desk and started working . after 20 minutes wilhemina called youand asked you to go to her room

"miss venable"

you softly knocked on the door

"oh yes , miss Y/L/N , come in"

you walked in , closed the door and walked over to her table , standing next to her

"i just got a call , we're having a last minute meeting with some investors on the new project those idiots are developing . i just need you to check out some papers for me , ok dear ?"

"yes miss venable , i can work this out .do you need anything else?"

"no that's all honey . how is your day going ? did someone disturb you ?"

she pulled you by the wrist closer to her , turned in her chair facing you

"no , it's all normal . they're not aggressive just annoying"

she pulled you again , making you sit on her lap

"if someone bothers you , we will solve it ok ? no matter who it is , i will fire the person"

she put her hand on your face and caressed . you smiled and kissed her

"that sounds a bit extreme but still so lovely ! thank you wilhi "

you got up and asked

"what time is the meeting ?"

"in 50 minutes"

"oh then i better hurry ! " you kissed her again and walked away

you and miss venable went to the room that would be the meeting , there were already three men and two women

the moment you walk in you can already recognize the younger Man - alex jasper -  you had studied with him in your first year of high school , he didn't have any friends , so you always tried to be as nice as possible , even though he was completely obsessed with you

you used to meet him at the library after class , so he could help you with your math homework , just like you helped him better understand the metaphors in books for literature class

his parents were very wealthy lawyers , and as he wasn't in the business they decided to send him to boarding school in england

you hadn't seen him since that , but for the next months he kept sending weird gifts and letters , stopping after a while.

he smiled at you as you walked in , and you returned it , making miss venable wonder if you two already knew each other

the meeting went as normal , lasting longer than expected , so when it ended it was time for you to leave

everyone was getting ready to leave ,  so alex walked over to you

"hey Y/N remember me ?"

"alex ! hi , of course i do ! i only managed to pass math because of you , how could i forget"
