"you were strong enough my little flower of bone and blood , no matter what happens , i will love you forever ok ? there's no reason to be afraid , i'll be here by your side forever"

wilhemina said as she tried to hug you . her back hurt , but the pain of seeing you leave in her own arms , had no comparison to anything she had ever felt

you tried to speak but another gunshot noise , just like the one that hit you before , happened

now aimed at wilhemina's heart , making you fall out of her arms , and the woman lie by your side on the cold floor

you held as tight as you could the reliquary in your hands , the memories of the day wilhemina gave it to you , running through your head - she loved you

so you closed your eyes , allowing yourself to sleep , soundly with the locker that wilhemina had given you

you felt ready to welcome death , 'cause you had your lover by your side

you woke up scared and sobbing , making wilhemina wake with your crying   she saw how scared you looked and hugged you

"hey dear , it's alright . breathe , i'm here with you"

you turned and looked at your girlfriend , then hugged her, crying again in her chest

"what happened ? did you have a nightmare?"

you shook your head , helding her tighter as you could

"yeah , i can't lose you"

you said sobbing . you couldn't explain to her how real that dream felt - how it felt like you'd lost her before

she laid you back on the bed , now she hugging you

"you won't ok ? i'll always be with you , i love you more than anything in this world"

"you promise ?"

"of course sweet girl , having you in my arms is the most valuable thing in the world . it means more to me than any diamond necklace i could buy"

"i love you mina"

"i love you too . now we have time to get some more sleep , you have to be ok for your first day"

it was your first day working as a vet , after so many years of college you finally got a job and couldn't be more excited

wilhemina was so happy for you , she had seen how dedicated you were and didn't stop supporting you at any time

2 months after you moved into wilhemina's house , she told you that it would be better if you just focus on your studies

so you stopped working with her but kept going to the company to see her whenever you had free time , which made a lot of people find it weird

so after a few months of turmoil wilhelmina admits to jeff and mutt that you were together

so the next time you showed up , you had to put up with the million weird questions and jokes

the rest of the company found out too ,  making every time you showed up there they kept quiet for fear wilhemina would fire them

life would never have been more perfect if you had planned it . wilhemina loved you and that was enough for you

when your parents found out , they didn't speak to you for a while

the few you got back together , but always with a forced and uncomfortable energy around

your sister and brother adored her and always came to your house what made you so happy , it was nice to have them around

now you were in therapy every week , and you could say you were in recovery . after so many years of having your life ruined by an illness you were finally starting to get rid of it

life was good for the first time , after so long and you never thought you would love someone so much

years have passed since the day you met wilhemina , since she held your face as you cried for the first time  and since you made love for the first time and she said she love you

you knew that wilhemina was the only thing you needed to survive , she would be by your side forever and that was the only thing you needed to get through everything the future had
