2•the start

The news of Jinsu hit hard. Very close to home. I tried so hard to protect him and now I'm blaming myself for his death. Its Myeong-hwan fault. I hate him! He's bullied us to no end.

It's the start of a new day. I get ready for school. When I get downstairs, I'm greeted by my brother and father.

"Noona!! Your finally up. You taking me to school." Said my seven year old brother smiling. I smile at him.

"Yup. I'm a good Noona. Gwi-Nam is also going to take you to school with me." I said.

"Yay!!! Gwi-Nam is my favorite." I gasp.

"What? Am I not your favorite?" I said with a pouty face.

"No Noona. I love you! Your the best Noona anyone can ever ask for!" He hugs me tightly and I pat his head. I tell him to finish breakfast (breaky😏).

As we were finishing breakfast. My father said out loud, "Y/N, come home early for dinner. I have so news to tell you." He said with a smile.

Unknown to me that he was actually gonna show me a document showing that he is now my legal parent.

"Sure thing Appa! Have a good day at work!" I give him a hug and kiss me on the cheek. I said a quick I love you. Then I left with my brother.

Gwi-Nam was outside waiting for us. He smiled when he looked at me but his smile grew larger when he saw my brother.

"Little man!! Give me a hug!" He said excitedly.

My little brother runs and crashes into Gwi-Nam. My brother gives him a tight hug. I secretly take a picture. We start walking to my brothers school, which resulted in Gwi-Nam holding my brother the whole way there.

Gwi-Nam really loves my brother. When we drop my brother off, I tell him to have a great day and that I love him. But inside my chest crept an achy feeling.

I was holding Gwi-Nam's arm while walking to school. We were a block away from school. We were just talking normal things. As we were right outside the gate, I kissed Gwi-Nam's cheek and ran from him blushing because I got nervous.

As my heart was beating rapidly, I see Suhyeok creeping around the entrance of an abandoned building. I decided to follow him.

He walked right up the stairs with me on his tail. I hear laughing, these laughs were all to familiar to me. I see Eunji on the floor with a camera pointed at her. Her top was all open, she was shaking and crying.

I see Suhyeok ready to stop them when I beat him to it. I step in front of the camera covering Eunji. I bend down in front of her and give her my hand. I didn't even know I was ignoring Myeong-hwan and his lackies, I can't believe Gwi-Nam is 'friends' him. Gwi-Nam is so much better than this loser.

"It's okay Eunji, I got you. Don't listen to them." I smile at her. I pull her to Suhyeok and follow them to the exit.

"You look sexy in this. Should I send this to your mom? You know I'm friends with her on Facebook." said Myeong-hwan. He's really pissing me off.

I can see that Eunji was ready to stay. So I spoke up, "Can you shut the hell up!! Your a damn loser. Your no better than the dirt on my shoes. Do us all a favor and be quiet!" I said angrily.

Before I can react, I felt a stinging pain on my face. I'm on the floor. I feel kicks being aimed at me. Then they stop. I look up and see Suhyeok in front of me.

"Leave her alone! She hasn't done nothing but speak the truth, so do us all a favor and leave them alone. Your just looking for attention since your not given enough at home." Suhyeok says.

He helps me up. Eunji and us walk out. We take Eunji to her class, I give Mr.Lee the look saying keep an eye on her. He nodded at me.

Suhyeok then takes me to the nurses office. Before he can leave, I grab his hand. "Thank you for what you did back there." I say.

"It's alright. As long as your fine, then so am I. Just rest okay." I nod and he walks out the room.

I hear the nurse talking but I close my eyes for a bit. I was out for like an hour till I hear commotion. I snapped my eyes open and see a group of students with Hyeon-ju on Suhyeok's back. I get off the bed quickly to help.

Within the group I see Gwi-Nam holding Hyeon-Ju down near her face. You can see that he's clearly worried for his friend. Even though she bullied me, Jinsu and others.

As the doctor puts a sedative shot in her arm, Hyeon-Ju bits Gwi-Nam's hand which caused more screaming. I got to help and in the corner of my eye I see the nurse get bit but nobody seemed to notice.

When the ambulance comes to take Hyeon-Ju away, I bandage Gwi-Nam's hand tightly.

"Are you okay?" I said worriedly.

"I should be asking you that. When Suhyeok told me you were in the nurse, I freaked out but I couldn't go because of class." He grabbed my face and looked at it, his eyes showed sadness.

"I'm fine. Just fell down some stairs." I smiled at him. I hug him and tell him to go back to class. I walk towards the nurse.

"Are you okay?" I asked the nurse.

She smiles at me sweetly and says, "Yea, it's nothing to worry about. Just a 'cut'." I told her to take care of herself and wished her a good day.

I felt like this was just the beginning of a horrible day. When walking to my class, I see my dad. I run up to him and see Mr.Lee in handcuffs.

"What are you doing with Mr.Lee?"

They both turn and see me. Mr.Lee gives me a small smile as of saying it's okay.

"He kidnapped Hyeon-Ju and tested on her. Were taking him into questioning." My dad says.

"He did nothing wrong. And if he did, he did it for his own right reasons." I said confidently.

"How can you say that! A classmate of your just went to the hospital. Stop being selfish!" My dad snapped back.

I look at him teary eyed and then looked at Mr.Lee who looked just as shocked as me. I nod my head and walk away.

Away from everyone. Just went to the bathroom to cry my eyes out.

This was only just the beginning...
