Pete had hardly slept. His thoughts were racing all night, remembering how gracefully she moved around the room. Her sweet voice echoed in his brain and he really wished she had given him her number. Not that he would call her at three am but he might. No he wouldn't. God why did he feel like a lovesick teenager again? He shook it off and climbed out of bed. Time to get his morning routine done so he can go to lunch. Quick breakfast and he left to go to the gym. The workouts really help keep him from feeling the back pain. At least he's not addicted to drugs like others in the industry. After the workout, he rushed home to get in the shower.
As he soaped his tattooed body, he couldn't help his thoughts turning to what Aurora looked like naked. She had curves in all the right places and as far as he could tell, she would look him eye to eye. Those beautiful blue eyes looking deep into his as he caressed her body.....crap. Why can't he stop thinking about her? He looked down and was surprised and how fast he had gotten hard. This girl, no, woman was driving him nuts. He stroked his own cock as he imagined that it was her hand. Faster and faster as he thought about the eyes, her lips, those curves, the tight ass and......oh. He shivered as he came. God I hope that's enough to be able to get through lunch. He finished washing and got out to get dressed.
Pete whistled as he hurried to the front door. He was thirty minutes early but maybe he would get a few minutes to talk to Aurora before everyone else showed up. He nodded to the receptionist, what was her name??, as he tried to be cool, strolling to the conference room. He walked in and heard, "Petey!" and inwardly groaned. Gabe was already there. He was a loyal friend but Pete didn't want cheering up. He just wanted five minutes with Aurora.
"You good, man?" Gabe asked. "Yeah, had a good workout this morning," came Pete's reply. "I know what you need to do, man. I was watching this show last night and they were talking about, after a breakup, you need a palate cleanser. You should tried to get with this Aurora chick and cleanse your palate and get back in the dating world!" Gabe gushed out. Pete took a slow breath and tried to convince himself to not knock the shit out of Gabe. "Don't you think if I was going to do that, I should have done it before I agreed to fund forty percent of her business? It's not smart to bang your coworkers man." Pete snarked back. Gabe leaned back in his chair and said, "hell you're right. Damn dude, she would have been perfect because she's hot in that weird, quiet way." "Yeah," Pete huffed. "She's kinda hot, I guess." God shut him up. Someone else walk in. Anything. He can't stay on this topic with Gabe. At that moment, Gerard shuffled in, looking lost as always. Pete smiled and was really glad that Aurora included Gerard. Most people thought he was too weird and into his own stuff in invite but honestly Gerard was just a very shy guy. Totally different from his stage persona. Pete had gotten to know Gerard while they did the warped tour all those years ago.
While Pete was reminiscing about past tours, Amy and Lzzy sashayed in together. Once again Pete wondered what Gabe had done to piss off those two. They were a force to be reckoned with separately but together....well Pete was not going to step in between those ladies and Gabe. Bros and all but that would be a death wish. He snickered to himself as Billie Joe walked in. "Am I late, I think I'm late," he said as he looked at his watch. Pete looked at his and saw that it was noon on the dot. Where was Aurora?
At that moment, she rushed into the room, breathing heavily and looking distraught. "I apologize so much. I just still haven't gotten the hang of the... traffic in this town. Give me just a moment and we can get started!" Pete just smiled as he watched her try to catch her breath. She was slightly sweaty, as though she had walked a couple blocks in the south Cali heat. Of course, dressed in all black would do that. Her pants once again accentuated her tight ass and he had to not giggle out loud as he realized she was wearing a Hella Mega shirt. Just as he went to nod at Billie Joe, Billie popped off, "which show did you get to go to?" "You can always count on Billie to recognize one of his tour shirts instantly," Amy giggled. Aurora glanced down as if she had forgotten what she was wearing and blushed. "I was in Dallas, the first show back from quarantine," with a slight hint of pride in her answer. "What did you think of the show," Billie leaned forward as he asked. "Honestly," she looked around, "the Interrupters were fantastic. I had never heard them before. Weezer was great. I didn't really think Rivers was that big of a nerd. Fall Out Boy could have been much better and Billie, y'all committed mass murder that night!" Gabe started laughing obnoxiously and slapping Pete on the back. Everyone else had the grace to at least try to hide their humor. "Could have been better? What the fuck??," Pete thought. He did his best to keep a cool face. Criticism should be second nature to him but now but her words stung in ways that he never felt before.
"How could it have been better," Pete quietly asked. She turned to him and locked her gorgeous eyes with him. She gave a little one sided smile and said, "it should have been another hour long. I've been a fobbie for a very long time and wanted more." Pete's heart swelled as he realized that he had an in with her. He dropped his eyes and caught sight of her arm. "Is that my lyrics tattooed on her arm?" he wondered. " She loves my music! Can she get any better?"
