"So, after the church I will go home, have lunch and then I will take my dress and come to your house so we can get ready together?"

"Yes, be here at 3 PM sharp. We need to look as stunning as ever. Not that that's gonna be a problem for us."

"Well for sure. I mean look at us! We could be at front page of Gibson magazine if we wanted to," Lucy giggled.

"Oh, if my father heard us! Pride is a sin, young lady!" Thalia impersonated her father as the two girls walked together to Sunday mass in church.

"Well, we are sinfully beautiful, what can you do," Lucy added laughing.

"Oh my world, would you listen to us, we are on our way to church!" Thalia said amused.

"Okay, new topic. Will the two certain people be there?" Lucy asked while looking around to see whether the two boys aren't somewhere near.

"Oh please! They are definitely going to be there. It is a party and they never once missed an opportunity to flirt with nicely dressed up ladies and drink as much punch and whiskey as possible."

"And are we happy or not over them being there?"

"Depends on how the evening goes, I guess," Thalia said grinning and Lucy shook her head.

"How you were brought up by a pastor I will never understand."

"I blame it on Curtis honestly. We have been close since I was six and he was eight because our moms are friends. And then Will wandered along when his mama adopted him when he was nine..."

"Wait, William is adopted?"

"Oh my, I probably shouldn't have said that. It's not a secret though and I am sure he would tell you once you would talk a little more. But still don't tell him that you know, please. He will tell you himself if he wants to."

"Don't worry, I have no reason to tell him. It is just very surprising to me."

"Yes, I don't blame you. Well... As I was saying... Curtis and Will had their influence on me I think," she smirked.

"Well, I am glad that now you can have some influence on me. I am really glad we met, Thalia," Lucy smiled at her friend and Thalia squeaked and hugged her around the neck.

"Oh me too, me too! I cannot wait till the evening comes! It will be such a great night!"

"You know, usually I am not much for a party, but I cannot wait either!"

Smiling they approached the church, they found the place in the back rows where they sat down together. A little while later Thalia's father started the service.

In the middle of his first prayer the doors of the church opened loudly. Pastor stopped praying and everyone turned their head to see who barged in so late.

"We are terribly sorry," Curtis whispered as him and Will sneaked into the back row just across the aisle from the girls.

There was a momentary whisper and hushing going around the church, but as soon as the pastor started to speak everyone went silent again.

"Do not look their way," Thalia hissed at Lucy silently.

"What? Why?" Lucy whispered not moving a muscle, her eyes fixed at the altar and Thalia's father.

"Because it will drive them nuts," her friend smirked for a second and then she started pretending to be very concentrated on her father's words.

Lucy tried to hide the small smile that was forming on her lips as she repeated after the blonde.
