Chapter 8

Me and Loki reentered the Stark Tower a few hours later. We didn't really buy anything but I did show Loki around the rebuilt city. He said that Asgard was 1000 times more beautiful but we did have great technology. I showed him how to use a credit card and to flag down a taxi. It did take him a while before he was perfectly comfortable. I let him wander around Barnes and Nobles without me and he didn't try taking over our world so I will take that as a win.

Jarvis AI voice sounded as soon as we entered," Ms. Stark, Tony would like you to start your training with Mr. Laufeyson immediately."

We looked at each other and I sighed," This will be fun."

I didn't have to change out of my clothes for this. We walked down to the training room and Wanda was in there already. She had a happy smile on her face as we entered. I met her in the center of the training room and Loki stayed in the back.

"Y/n I want to try something," Wanda told me," Can you sit on the ground."

I sat on the ground and she sat in front of me," What are we doing?"

"I want you to close your eyes," She instructed me and I did as she say. I blocked out the faces that immediately appeared," I want you to imagine a cup full of water."

I opened my eyes after that," What? Why?"

She laughed a little," Let me finish explaining," I close my eyes again and she continued explaining," Imagine that the cup is constantly being filled. I want that water to be your power. Keep the water from overflowing and you will have control of your powers."

I took deep breathes as I imagined the water spilling over the cup. I controlled it for a second before a voice yelled in my head," You shouldn't even have these powers. You won't ever be able to control them! You are a danger to society!"

I felt my eyes clench closed and Wanda yelped. My eyes shot open and I saw that she held a shard of ice in front of her face. I cursed and apologized quickly as the shard dropped at her feet. She gave me a small smile.

"Y/n you have to face your past before this can truly work," She told me.

I took a deep breath," Did you look into my mind?"

She sighed with an apologetic look," I did when you first came back. When you didn't want to talk about it I looked into your head. Tony told me to. He truly didn't understand why you didn't want to talk about it."

I felt like crying," Dad told you to look into the things that happened. So you know?"

She nodded solemnly," I know everything. I didn't tell Tony everything. I knew you didn't want him to know what all they did to you."

Now I was crying. I could feel the tears falling down my face," Why would he tell you to do that?" My voice cracked as I said the sentence.

Soon anger was taking over my body. He invaded my privacy just cause he couldn't wait until I was ready," Did he ever tell Mom what was happening with me?"

Wanda nodded," She wasn't happy that he didn't notice you were gone. She was mad at all of us but she couldn't come to help us. She wanted to more than anything."

"Morgan?" I asked.

She shook her head," They didn't know how to tell her."

My anger slowly got worse. How did he not notice I was gone? How? How? How? Why does Dad not truly care about his actions affect me? The machines that surrounded the room started to shake. I looked at one as it really started to shake. It was fully made of metal. I didn't know I could control metal. The machine started shaking so much that it started to move forward. I wanted to watch it break. I wanted this anger in me gone.

I felt arms wrap around me and everything stopped shaking. My head finally cleared and I realized what I was doing. The arms around me were warm and comforting and I leaned into them. I don't know what I was doing. Wanda gave the person hugging me a small smile and I finally moved away. I know it was Loki hugging me but it helped calm me down and I haven't relaxed like that in weeks.

"I-i need to talk to Dad," I said quietly and Wanda stopped me.

"I wouldn't do that just yet," Her words confused me," Pepper is coming today with Morgan. Tony finally told her about you being home safe."

I nodded," I can still talk to him. I think I can stay calm."

"Love," Loki said beside me," I would wait. We don't need to scar a child."

I rolled my eyes and walked out of the room. He's right and I know he is but he didn't have to be so sarcastic about it. I walked into the main room and before I could even say anything I was being hugged. Mom separated away from me and touched her forehead to mine. I didn't want to back away from her touch. Something about it was comforting. I guess a mothers touch will always be nice.

"I'm so glad you're okay," She whispered to me," I don't know what I would do if I lost you."

"Probably murder Dad."

She glared at Dad," Don't rule that out right now."

Morgan ran up to me and I pulled her up to my arms," Y/n!"

"Hi little sis," I greeted her. The small child isn't even enough to make me smile," Did you miss me?"

She nodded quickly," Why was Mom so worried about you?"

I rubbed her head," I had gotten into a tough spot."

I didn't have the heart to tell her about what had happened to me. She hopped out of my arms and ran past me to Loki. He was standing a few feet behind me," Who's this pretty man Y/n?"

Loki squatted down to her height," My names Loki. Now what's the name of a princess like you?"

She giggled loudly," Morgan. Can I mess with your hair?"

Loki looked at me and honestly I really was trying not to laugh. Morgan is very friendly. I still didn't have a smile on my face but I know he saw the amusement in my eyes. Tony stepped in at that moment," No you can not mess with his hair."

He picked Morgan up as she pouted and Loki stood up straight coming up beside me. He set Morgan down and the elevator door rung. I looked over and saw Peter walk in.

"Mr. Stark," Peter said happily," I have an Idea to make my suit better. Oh hi Mrs. Stark."

"Hello Peter," Mom spoke up.

I walked out of the room after that. I am already tired and figured I could practice the things that Wanda told me to do earlier. I immediately noticed that Loki had followed me out and I glanced over at him," What are you doing?"

"Giving you company," Loki said," give you a chance to stick me with a dagger if you would like."

I sighed as we reached the door to my room," Would you like to come in?"

He smirked," Of course."

I let him in my room. I closed the door after he walked in and he looked around. My room was a slight mess. I had multiple pieces of clothes on my floor. My bed was a mess from me tossing and turning and there are multiple plants in my room.

"Y/n," Loki caught my attention as I sat on my bed," Would you like to talk about your time in Hydra."

I shook my head," What do you want to exchange trauma stories?"

He chuckled," If you would like. I have a few things I could tell you."

I sigh," Fine. I'll tell you about my first night and then you tell me something and we can go back and forth."

Loki nodded as I got myself ready for these stories. Let's hope this will help.
