Only You

Chapter 4

Hector thought that he could run away from me did he? Well he had another thing coming. When ever I saw him I would run to catch up with him but its not that easy when you live in school full of animals. It was a stampede at break and lunch and you could easily get swept away with the crowd. I once lost Imaan, let's just say it took me twenty minutes to find her. Believe me you do not, and I mean do not want to be stuck in the corridoors when that stampede begins.

Period four had just ended and was quickly rushing to my locker to get my lunch and head to the cafeteria to meet up with Imaan, Cinzia and a couple of our other friends. So I took my lunch out of my locker and then shut it. I turned around and spotted Hector at the other end of the corridoors. I started sprinting towards him. He had not spotted me and turned the corner and started heading outside near the back of the school. So me being me, went ahead and followed him.

He reached the part of the school near the dumpsters were no one went. Hector sat down with his back against the wall and started taking his lunch out of his pocket. He was just sitting there alone so I decided to go and sit with him.

"Hey Hector!" He looked up at me and then looked back down at his lunch completely ignoring me.

"Do you mind if I sit here?" Again he didn't reply and continued to eat his lunch.

"I'll take that as a yes then" I then sat down beside him.

Today was a nice hot day. The sun was out and there was not a cloud in sight.

"The weathers nice today isn't it?" No reply.

I then decided to get to the point and talk to him about the project .

"Hey Hector? We have to look after the baby together because you know were the parents. And to be good parents we need to be able to communicate well with each other and we can't exactly do that if your not talking to me." At this he put down the sandwich he was eating and looked at me.

"Your annoying " Was his only reply.

"I get that a lot now back to the matter at hand"

"We could meet up after school, you can decide were." I couldn't see his face because of the hood but I could tell he was thinking about it.

"Your house" He replied

"Okay that's cool. Just meet me at the front of the school when the bell rings" He nodded in reply.

I stretched my legs out in front of me, rested my head against the wall and enjoyed the peace and quite, the heat of the sun, the birds singing and the sound of Pharrell Williams song Happy.

Wait what? My eyes shot open. Then I realised that it was my phone ringing. I pulled it out of my pocket and checked the caller I.D. It was Imaan.

"Sorry, I have to take this." I said to Hector. I then pressed answer.

"Sup, Imaan" I said into the phone.

"Don't you Sup me Cammilla Violet Rose" Uh oh. She said my full name which meant she was angry.

"Where are you Cammilla, your supposed to go on stage in exactly eight minutes" Oh poop! I forgot all about that.

Every year a pupil from sixth year is chosen to sing in the cafeteria everyday for the rest of the year. This year was me that was chosen. I was honestly so happy when I was chosen because singing makes me so happy and I love singing in front of people. Well right now I was late.

"I'll be right there" I said to Imaan and hung up without waiting for a reply.

"Hector I'm sorry I have to go." I got up and started to pick up my things. Then a light bulb went off inside of my head.
