It was a normal night in the streets of parfaedia, the occasional cats in the alleyway, streets empty, buildings closed, and the most noticeable of all.
Detective Almond chasing after Phantom Bleu, as usual.
It was how it always goes, a jewel goes missing, Almond checks the scene, and comes to the conclusion it was Phantom Bleu and follows the trail they've left behind.
Almond had Phantom Bleu cornered on the rooftop of a building, with seemingly no way out. He pulled a pair of handcuffs from his coat and shouted "Phantom Bleu! You are under arrest for the theft of the gem on display in the Hors d'oeuvre musem and many other robberies!" Almond said with a slight irritation in his voice, considering this chase had been going on for about 10-15 minutes."Ah, detective! It seems you believe you've won our little game!" Phantom Bleu said with a smirk on their face. "Hopefully you will next time!" They said right before jumping off the building, making their escape.
"Dammit..I let them escape again." Almond said facepalming." He was about to walk back to his home before he noticed a letter on the ground, similar to Phantom Bleu's calling cards. He picked it up curiously, shoving it in his pocket. He then walked back to his house, checking the time on his watch.
It was 11:30 PM, he groaned in exhaustion, happy to finally go home and rest.
By the time Almond was home, he saw his daughter on the couch dead asleep with the TV on. He smiled and let out a small chuckle before carrying walnut to bed and turning off the TV.
Almond was far too tired to change out of his work clothes, so he fell asleep with them on.
