Almond cookie groaned, tired and exhausted after this long night. He walked back to the two women and explained the situation, he promised he would get the painting back and said his goodbyes to them.
Almond got into his car, sinking into his seat, just wanting to sleep. He drove home, nearly falling asleep.
He had finally returned home, opening the door to his apartment, surprised to see his daughter still up.
"Dad! I can explain-"
"No need to, Walnut. Just make sure you go to sleep soon, it's been a long night, so I'm heading to bed, goodnight." Said Almond as he walked to his room and changed and collapsed on his bed, instantly falling asleep.
