CHAPTER 10

Mayoshka enter the castle and she could hardly believe her eyes, as she missed it a lot and stared it with tears as if she had seen her for the first time in her life, as she went back with her memories, recalling every moment she spent with her parents in this castle.

Mayushka's tragedy was very great, as she did not find anyone to console her for her great pain, for she lost her parents one after the other after her younger brother, as she felt that she had lost the love represented by her family, which was the source of her happiness and always drew joy on her life, and today she has become alone in this frightening world.

When Vasily saw Mayoshka, he was amazed, as he did not believe that she was still alive, so he was very happy to meet her and said to her with astonishment and a great welcome, "welcome Princess Mayoshka, where have you been all these days? We searched for you in all country, to no avail, and then we realized that you were dead."

Mayoshka said, "I was a prisoner of one of the knights in his village, did you not look for me there ?"

Vasily replied, surprisingly, "A captive in the village with one of the knights ! Princess, we had searched all the villages of the country, but to no avail."

Mayoshka knew that Vasily was right about what he said, as it did not occur to the knights that there was a cellar in the room in which Giovanni had placed her to search, as she admitted that he was very intelligent and this prompted her to ask Vasily about that incident "Vasily, tell me, who killed my father?"

So, Vasily was surprised that she knew of the death of the Tsar and told her in disappointment and a sad tone "He was killed by Gregori Raspoutine's men while he was on a mission alone, but he was killed by the knight of the castle, Giovanni, son of Commander Donatelli, as he took revenge on him as a result of the plot planned by Raspoutine that led to the death of his father and Tsar Nikolai together".

Mayoshka was shocked by Vasily's speech and realized that Giovanni was the son of commander Donatelli who was his captive in the village and that he was right that he had not killed her father, so she cried greatly and said,

"I killed him" and shouted sobbing

"I killed Giovanni" then she fell to the ground, as her feet were no longer able to carry her and she repeated in her heart,

"I have killed the knight that I loved and who had always dreamed of, I have killed the one who avenged my father, any sin I committed ! I will not forgive myself as long as I am alive."

Vasily was amazed at what Mayoshka said, and he said to her, "You killed Giovanni, princess! What prompted you to do that?" So, she said to him in disappointment, shedding tears, "I thought he was my father's killer while I was his captive."

Vasily felt that he was the reason for the death of Giovanni when he announced that he was the murderer of Tsar Nikolai instead of Raspoutine to get rid of his followers, so he became very sad and said to her

"Do not be sad, princess, because the heroes are the ones who pay the price in the end as a result of the misfortunes of others to immortalize in our memories forever."

Mayoshka turned to him and said, "You are right, Vasily, the heroes are the ones who sacrifice in the end."

Thus, Mayoshka became the princess of the country, being the only heir to the ruling family of the Romanov dynasty, as she carried out Giovanni's will as a result of what he had done for her father as well as her deep love for him and his sacrifice for the sake of the country and the defense of the oppressed,

As she undertook comprehensive reforms to help the poor and decided to exempt lands and appropriate them to their peasant owners, which was welcomed with a great welcome and great joy by the working class throughout the Russian Empire.

Mayoshka was not satisfied with the reforms she did throughout the country, as she believed that what she did against Giovanni was not very fair, as she ordered Vasily to go to his village and bring his body to the castle to be buried next to her father in the cemetery of the great for the tsars in his honor.

This scene was harsh for Vasily, even his horse was consoling him and almost shed tears, when he saw him on the ground, he remembered his words when he came to the castle and told him that the killer was a traitor among you,

so he cried painfully and put his head on his chest and his eyes filled with tears, then he raised his head and whispered in his ears,

"You are right, Giovanni, the traitor is among us and you are the one who avenged him. I am the reason for killing you, Giovanni. I will not forgive myself as long as I am alive and you will not lose sight of my mind for a moment, rest in the bliss of heaven, O Knight of the Knights," so he wiped the tears from his cheeks and cried out loudly, "O knights, carry the body of your leader to the castle."

Thus, the knights carried Giovanni's body on board his mare to the castle with sad faces as if he was one of the Tsars, and upon their arrival at the castle, Mayoshka could not see him and she could not hold back her tears, because yesterday her father had been buried and today Giovanni is buried in front of her eyes, as she lost everyone she loves and today she has become lonely in this world,

Then the knights buried Giovanni in the cemetery of the Tsars next to Tsar Nikolai and they carved his name on marble in the name of the Knight of the Castle in honor of his memory.
