A Hero but a servant?

Amber was curious as a cat. Why did they bully Luhan? She was about to ask that question when suddenly, someone shouts Luhan’s name.

"LUHAN! LUHAN!"

"Tao!" Luhan exclaimed.

"What happened to you Luhan? I was searching all over just to find you!" He said.

"He was-" Amber was about to talk when Luhan cuts her.

"Ahhhh!!! I was just touring hyung! He’s a new student here." Luhan said and made Amber more curious.

"Really? You should have said so, so I can accompany you." Tao paused as he looked at Amber. Then, he forgot his manners.

"And sorry for the late introduction. My name is Tao, classmate of Luhan." Tao offered a handshake which Amber gladly took.

"The name’s Amber, a new student." After shaking hands, Tao nodded and smiled widely.

"Welcome hyung, to our school!" Tao said while smiling.

"Thanks Tao.” Amber bowed a little to show appreciation.

"We should head back before we get detention for being late." Luhan was worried about his perfect attendance and and thought about it for changing the topic.

"Yeah we should." Amber agreed and they all walked to their building, talking about stuff to know each other until Tao asked Luhan the truth.

"Seriously. . ." Tao stopped in front of Luhan. Luhan was nervous but hid he it.

"What happened?" Tao added. Luhan was surprised of the sudden question.

"W-what are you talking about?" Luhan said while trying to avoid Tao’s eyes.

"Don’t play innocent Luhan. Please." Tao said sternly.

"Just tell him the truth Luhan. It’s the best for now." Amber said knowingly that Luhan will lie again. Luhan sighed in defeat.

"Amber-hyung here, is my hero." Luhan patted Amber’s shoulder. He beamed at Tao as he proudly said that to him.

"Hero?" Tao and Amber said in unison.

"Yes a hero. He defeated Kai’s gang to protect me." Luhan said.

"Oh. . .  That." Amber said, remembering what happened earlier.

"Kai’s gang? Woah!! Nobody can defeat Kai!" Tao said in amazement.

"Told you Amber-hyung is a hero." Luhan said with pride again.

"So you were bullied again?" Tao formed a fist and clenched his teeth. "That damn Kai! I will really get him next time!"

"Calm down Tao. You’re angry coz you’re hungry! Come on." Amber said, calming Tao down. They arrived at the cafeteria and was greeted by Krystal.

"Where have you been?!"

"Me?" Amber said pointing at herself.

“No the door." Krystal said sarcastically. 

"Funny." Amber said seriously.

"Do you know what time it is???" Krystal said while sending daggers at Amber.

"Umm. . . 10 minutes before break time's over?" Amber said checking her watch.

"Stupid! We’re 5 minutes late already!" Krystal shouts and point’s at the cafeteria's clock.

"What the- How did that happen?" Amber looked at her watch again.

"Oh. . . My watch is broken." Amber said tapping her watch.

"Arghh! From now on you will be my servant whether you like it or not!" Krystal walked away, heading to their classroom.

"What’s her problem?" Amber said, pointing at Krystal.

"I don’t know, this is the first time she acted that way." Luhan and Tao witnessed something legendary, for them. 

"Yup! I agree with him. Krystal-noona kept on ignoring people she don’t like. Especially, the boys. She only waits for people who she is close with." Tao said putting his hands on his chin and Luhan copied his action.

"Or maybe. . ." Luhan said, widening his eyes.

"You’re right, maybe. . ." Tao did the same. The two of them gasped of what they have learned.

“Krystal-noona. Sometimes she’s easy to read." Luhan Laughed.

"I know right." Tao hits Amber’s shoulder.

"Ouch! What the hell are you guys saying?" Amber puts her hand on her shoulder to ease the pain. Tao and Luhan’s immediately changed as they heard what Amber said.

"Are you kidding hyung?" Luhan looked weirdly at Amber. 

"Hyung. Are you sure you’re not numb?" Tao said putting his hands on Amber’s shoulder.

Tao shakes Amber. "Hyung tell me you’re not! Hyung!" Luhan stops Tao before Amber will surely puke.

"Tao! Tao! Stop. Stop! Don’t do that to hyung!" Luhan said protecting Amber.

"Sorry hyung." Tao bowed.

"Nah it's ok." Amber tried to smile but her head kept on spinning. She held her tummy and her mouth to stall the food from coming out.

"Hyung! You’re so nice but slow at times." Luhan elbowed Tao to stop him from going any further.

"Tao!" 

"Sorry, but I think he won’t get it." Tao said while rubbing his abdomen.

"Slow at what?" Once she recovered, she immediately start to chit-chat with her two dongsaengs.

"See!" Tao exclaimed. That made his statement so true. 

"Whatever." Luhan rolled his eyes.

"By the way hyung, Luhan said you’re a hero and Krystal said you’re her servant." Tao asked, earning the full attention of Amber.

"Yeah and?" Amber said confusedly.

"What are you a hero at night and a servant at day?" Tao said. Amber took a few minutes to process before she snaps.

"You little rascal!!!" Tao started to run to get away from Amber’s wrath. The two of them played tag until a teacher saw them and sent them to the disciplinary office. There are times where destiny played us like a fool but there are also times where it played us to know who the people should be in our lives. We should play along to know where we’ll be ending and who’ll be ending with us.
