Nightfall came and our protagonist paced all over her room, thinking of a way to save her sisters. Shee stopped her tracks and thought of Krystal. She almost forgot about Krystal and her sisters. The loss of her own sisters raids her mind that she forgot everything else. Amber bit her thumb whenever she thought of the possibilities that will happen to them. A knock on the door made her stop and look at the person that will be entering.
"Kid? You need to stop pacing." Donghae appeared and walked in front of Amber.
"I tried to stop but I can't!"
"You're not making any sense."
"I mean, when I stop pacing, I thought of my sisters' dead body."
"Amber!" The two looked at the door and saw her Aunt standing at the door frame.
"Your sisters aren't dead. Their life hasn't been taken but their soul was."
"Aren't that the same?" Amber was frustrated. Not knowing what to do make her vulnerable.
"No they're not." Her Aunt said calmly and walked in front of her. She held her shoulders and squeezed them gently.
"You are afraid." Her Aunt paused and looked at her nephew as if she's reading her.
"You are afraid of what happened and its making you weak. If you let the past get to you, you won't be saving your princess nor helping your sisters." Her Aunt patted Amber's head and smiled at her son. She went out of the room, leaving the two.
"Mom's right, lil' Dino. Now come on, Dinner's ready." The two went out and went to the dining room to eat. Everyone was there but it wasn't the same without his sisters. Amber let out a sigh and sat beside her mother. They start to eat without someone talking. After eating, they all went to their respective rooms after Amber's silent good night to them. The moon lights the whole mansion like the sun did but to Amber, it wasn't as brighter as before. She thought of something outrageous and she thought that it was the only way to save her sisters.
Amber packed her bags with the things she need on her journey. Once everything was set up, she went to her terrace and jumped from there. She softly landed without any noise and ran fast. As soon as she reached the gate, there was a shadow that made her slow down. Once the moon lit the person's face, Amber sighed.
"I won't stop even if you tell me to, mother."
"I'm not telling you to stop. But, how will you start your search?" The queen covered herself more with the cloak she's wearing.
"I don't –"
"That's what I'm afraid of." The queen walked nearer to her child before holding her hand.
"I'm happy that you call me mother. I'm also happy that you grew as handsome as your father." A tear fell down as the queen caressed her daughter's face. Amber felt bad and hugged her mom for the first and maybe the last time. After their emotional moment, the queen broke the hug and gripped her daughter's shoulder softly.
"You can't fight them alone. You need someone to help you win. This isn't any ordinary fight anymore, Amber. It's already a war, a war that only few will know, a war between the alchemists and the immortals. So, I need you to find the death's lair."
"The death's lair?"
"Yes. There you will find your sisters' soul, trapped on the jar of death."
"And how can I find the lair?"
"Go to Donghae. He's on the beach, waiting for you. He will lead you to the lair. He knows the way." The Queen kissed her child's crown before slightly pushing her back.
"Go now, my child. Don't look back." The queen said almost in a whisper. It's like before when she casts a spell on her. It breaks her heart to see her go but she knows what will happen if she don't.
I have to trust her. The Queen thought while looking at the back of her daughter. She will succeed. She has determination in her. As soon as the fog covered her child, she went back to her mansion with broken heart and puffy eyes. She doesn't know if she'll be able to see her again. Maybe never.
Amber walked on the path with heavy feet. She left her mom to find her sister. A tear fell from her eyes until she can't see where she's going. All the tears blocked her sight. She slowly walked but nevertheless stopped. She broke down and cried on her hands. She doesn't know what to feel. She have to find her sisters but she have to leave her mom. She's not even sure if she'll able to come back alive.
She stood up and wiped her face clean. She took a deep breath and slapped herself. She starts to run until she saw the reflection of the moon on the sea. She stopped as soon as the trees were out of her sight and the sound of the waves invades her ears. She inhaled the smell of the sea and nodded to herself.
I won't be shaken. I'll be ready, I'll be alive and come back here with everyone. She made up her mind.
"Hey Amber!" Amber looked at the person who called her and it was Donghae beside her sailboat. She ran beside her hyung and nodded.
They didn't speak and just smiled at each other, knowing what that meant, they rode the sail boat, to the ship. The crew greeted them with delight and head off out the ocean. The weather was good at first but the clouds became dark. There were no sign of the sun but there was no rain either. The wind blew strong and the crew tried their best to navigate the ship to their destination.
Donghae asked Amber a favor to hide below the cabin until its safe. Amber grumbles but followed her hyung. As she arrived down, she took off her coat and placed it on the chair and laid down. Soon, she became sleepy and drifted to sleep.
