"I'm Camilo Madrigal" he says. "Y/N Star" I respond, wide eyed. He notices "what, never seen a shapeshifter before?" "Its not that, you have powers too?" I say. "What do you mean?" "I thought we we're the only ones with powers." I say. "We come from a different town, we just moved here today." I look at Camilo, visibly confused. "Well, my mamá told me that other people with gifts were coming today, that must be you." He looks at me and smiles. Just then, Laura walks over carrying a loaf of bread. "Got a boyfriend already?" She says, mockingly. I stare at her. Camilo looks over at her. "Hi, I'm Camilo." He smiles and holds out his hand. "Laura." She says, shaking it. "You two are twins, right?" He says, we both nod. "What are your gifts?" We look at him, confused. "Your gifts, you know, I can shape shift, what can you do?" He says. "Oh, you mean our powers." Laura says. "Water." She says. "Fire." I say. "Nice! How about I tell you about the rest of my family, and you'll tell me about yours." He says. "Wait." Laura says, "If you're a shapeshifter, is that really what you look like?" "Yeah, no tricks." He says. Laura suppresses a laugh. "He's ugly." She laughs. "So," Camilo begins. "My abuela was the one to discover this land and our gifts, but she doesn't have any. My mamá, Pepa (I think of the ginger we met at our new house) can control the weather with her emotions. My tía Julieta can heal you with her cooking, and my tío Bruno can see the future. Now for the kids," Camilo starts walking, and we follow him. "My oldest prima, Isabella can make flowers grow anywhere she wants, my second prima Luisa is super strong, and my third prima is the same age as me, Mirabel, has no gifts. My older sister, Dolores has super hearing, she can probably her this conversation right now. I, can shape shift- (he turns into me, then back), and lastly, my younger brother, Antoio can speak to animals." He finishes. "Wow" I say. "Thats a big family." Laura continues. "Now tell me about yours" Camilo says, as we keep walking.
