WARNINGS

My back hit the mat, knocking the air out of me. His hands stayed at my throat, blocking myself from catching my breath. I signaled for him to let go, a way of saying I had lost the duel in today's training session. He shook his head, frowning at my failure as he sat up. He looked over at our superior officers as they looked unimpressed with my abilities. He turned to me and helped me up. "You better up your game if you wanna last here, kid." He grumbled to me before turning his back. I smirked at myself before jumping on his back, putting him in a choke hold and pulling him back towards the ground. He clawed at my locked arms before throwing me forward and landing on top of me, restraining my wrists above my head. His hands were lower on my wrists, giving me enough movement through my hands to use my powers. In one swift movement I used my mind tricks to distract him. His face went blank and his pupils faded. I smirked to myself, pushing him off me while standing up and putting a foot on his chest as he snapped out of the trance. "Checkmate" I snapped my fingers, making him lose focus as I bent down, putting my fingers at the corners of his mouth to press a smile on his face as I smirked back. I got up and turned to the Hydra superiors watching and gave them a bow, just in time for the soldier to launch himself at me, bringing me down onto my stomach as he grabbed my wrists more securely this time. "You should really get rid of the attitude... it is VERY aggravating." He whispered in my ear before getting up. Leaving me to catch my breath.

Winter use to talk about how he'd been here for decades. Yet he's only in his mid 20's at best. I thought to myself. He had told me about what they did to him, throwing him in a frozen chamber and leave him there before they needed him again for a mission. Cyro isn't what you'd really expect. You'd think it'd be cold, but instead it's just numbing. It puts you in your own world. It's like time completely stops, and technically it does for your body. When you get brought out of cyro is when everything goes to hell. It's like you're being screamed at after years of peaceful hibernation, and no one enjoys that. Especially when everything but yourself has changed.
