I tugged at the dress. I was so use to being in combat clothing and not some beautiful sleek gown. The dress was gorgeous, sparkly, with a fire red. My heels (that I continued to trip on) were a dark silver. I tucked my hair behind my ear as I appeared out of the alley and headed towards the large tower. I kept my head down trying not to attract attention in such an attractive dress. I had to admit, it fit my curves perfectly. I grabbed the end of my dress to keep it from tracking dirt from the sidewalk. Several curious glances were passed towards me as I continued to look down at my heels.

I was about a block away from the tower when I saw the line waiting to be let in. There were two people guarding the entrance, checking identification. Everyone had these chips that had an A emblem on them that allowed them to enter the tower. I held the chip tightly in my hand as I took my spot in the line. I quickly recognized the two Avengers guarding the door. Hawkeye and The Falcon. I looked down and began fiddling with the chip in my hands as the line slowly moved.

"Excuse me? The chip please?" Clint Barton held out his hand, waiting it to take it. I cleared my throat and handed it over. "Who's your plus 1?" I glanced around. "No one." The Falcon, who must of been eavesdropping... gave a surprised expression. "Well damn. Maybe I'll come join you later, Ms...?" I gave a flirtatious smirk. "Y/N. And maybe you will, Mr. Wilson." I gave a smirk once again before heading inside. "I'm in" I whispered through the hidden ear piece. "Find him and bring him home, soldat."

I wondered up towards the room where all the guests were to gather. Or in Tony Stark's words "the party floor" while I was wondering through the tower 'lost' I was looking for possible exits, escape routes, and different vital rooms. Such as Bruce Banner's lab. I finally approached the doorway to the party floor. There were already hundreds of people here, some recognizable heroes or just some high egotistic billionaires as well as some shield agents who thought they were good undercover agents. I slowly made my way over to the bar. There I saw a very well known face to Hydra, and the red room. Natasha Romanoff sat talking to who I assumed to be Doctor Banner. I ordered a Bloody Mary and searched the room for the unattended Avengers. Specifically James Barnes and Steve Rogers. If The Winter Soldier was near, The Captain would be closer. Which meant this mission just got a lot harder.

I heard the tap of my drink being set down on the table as I gave a curt nod to the bartender before heading into the crowd. I gave small glances across my room, avoiding eye contact with everyone and anyone. That was until I heard his voice. He was laughing... right behind me. I slowly turned around, feeling the anger bubble up inside me. My my eyes narrowed and my grip on my drink tightened. I saw him. His brunette locks were tucked neatly behind his ears as his face was scrunched up while talking to Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson. He ran his hand through his hair before turning to look around the room. I took a shaky drink, closing my eyes before opening them to create a calmer face. I saw him look towards me, his eyes lingered as I looked up to meet the piercing blue eyes. His gaze went for happiness to confused. Like he went deep in thought. The blonde beside him shook his shoulder. "You alright Buck?" He nodded his head. "Y-ya... I'm just gonna be right back." He patted his friend on the back before heading my way. I smirked, swirling the red liquid in my glass. I heard his footsteps come closer, even in the loudness and blaring of music in the room. I met his eyes again. "Hi there." His face grew into a side smile. "Hello. Do I know you?" I took a small lingering sip as I eyed him up and down. He didn't seem to be armed, other than the metal arm of course. I on the other hand had two thigh holsters, one with a knife and the other with a gun. And of course my personal touch of mind tricks.

Bucky continued the conversation. "Hm. I don't know, you seem... familiar." His eyebrows pinched together as he scratched the stubble on his face. I took another sip of my drink, emptying it completely. "Well, while you try to figure it out, Winter, you can take my glass." I gave an innocent smile as I watched his face fall. I turned to leave before something grasped onto my wrist. "What did you just call me." He wasn't looking at me, instead glaring at my hand, there on the back of my wrist sat a faded red star. He glared at it, squeezing my hand tighter. "James of course. I called you James."
"No one calls me James. Everyone calls me Bucky or the White Wolf." I covered my mouth to keep from laughing. "You think it's funny... Epoch." I yanked my wrist away. "Im sorry?" I snapped at him. I started backing away. Panicking. He started stepping my towards me. We stepped deeper onto the dance floor. A slow song was playing as I started stepping on people's ankles or other's stepping on mine. James had set the glass on a tray as he continued following me, grabbing my wrist once again and yanking me towards him. I knew what he was trying to do, so I played along. I rested my finger tips on his shoulders as his were on my waistline. "Don't play dumb."
"Hm? I'm sorry but you're kinda freaking me out." I lightly said
"Well, I guess one thing I could thank Hydra for is giving you this, so I could always recognize you..." He turned my wrist over, showing the red star once again. I quickly put it back on top of his shoulder, entwining my fingers behind his neck. "Hydra didn't give me that... you did." He twirled me, as my dress lifted and swayed along, almost making it look like I was encased in flames. "Hm. I see you came prepared." He signaled towards where the two holsters were hidden under my dress. "Always." I said while looking around for the best escape routes. "So. I'll ask. Why are you here." I looked up, acting like I was in deep thought. "Hm. I'm a hero you know?" We stepped away from each other, linking our hands together before pulling each other close again. "Just instead of being a big bad Avenger..." The song started quieting to it's end. "I'm Hydra's best." He went to go twirl me, but instead I let go and stepped into the crowd while disappearing from his view.
