The next morning was calm, but I couldn't open my eyes. Since I started school yesterday, things really feel different. I'm glad I woke up earlier today.

I did my usual morning routine, and left to go to school. The morning felt slow until I reached first period. I sat in my seat and looked around

"She should be here."

"Where is she?"

"Must be sick?.."

My thoughts were interrupted by my teacher, Mr. Kim, called attendance. He called the list of names.

"Choi Beomgyu"
"Here."

"Hwang Hyunjin"
"-Here."

A few more names were called, and I knew her's was next.

"Shin Ryujin"
"Here."

What!? Why didn't he call her name? Her name has got to be on that list.. She was just here yesterday and he called her name. Also, he just walked in, so he wouldn't have noticed her being absent and purposefully skipped her name.

At this point, so much realization hit me. Every thing made so much more sense now. Did she give me the wrong number on purpose? I really didn't care, I was pissed now that I figured things out. He was so lost; nevertheless, he decided to focus on nothing but class.

...

Hyunjin completed all of his work, and moved on to second period. He saw a few of the others he had sat with at lunch yesterday.

After 10 minutes of contemplation, Hyunjin decided that, yes, he should go talk to them.

Hyunjin approached the small grouland greeted them.

"Hi. You may remeber me from yesterday? Hyunjin asked.

"Yes! Uhh Hyunjin, riiight? One answered

"Yea" Said Hyunjin with nervousness lacing his voice

"Um so.. Soojin. Can you tell me about her? Maybe also tell me why she isn't here. If you know why, that is."

"Oh Soojin.. We don't know anything about her. I mean, she's only been here for a few weeks, and only sat with us once, which haplened to be yesterday. Why she's not here is none of my business, for I have no idea what she's doing right now." One girl answered in the nicest way she possibly could

One of the boys at the table jumped in "I heard some teachers talking about her transferring or something like that."

"Oh thanks" Hyunjin said with a fake half smile

"No problem, and I'm sorry we didn't have much info for you." The first girl said

That's it. He knew that the others, that sat at the table yesterday, wouldn't know anything about her either, but it was still worth the try.

Hyunjin spent the next hour of the day asking people if they knew anything. All he got were shrugs or people simply shaking their heads no.
...

Hyunjin sat at his seat in his last class, staring out of the window. His vision was fixated on a wildflower growing on a thick vine that wrapped around an oak tree. He thought it looked tacky, but almost in a hypnotizingly beautiful way.
