Chapter 17

After about an hour, Beomgyu's surgery was a success and Jiwoo felt relieved than ever.

She then walked outside to get some fresh air as Soobin approached her.

"The doctor-"

"The doctor said-"

They said it in the same time.

"You first." Soobin said.

"The doctor said that the surgery was very successful." Jiwoo smiled.

He nodded and smiled.

"Yes, I know. He told me that." He said. "He also told me we were lucky that you called for an ambulance right away."

"Actually, I..." her voice cracked. "I had no clue what to do. I just went blank. I'm sorry."

Jiwoo began to cry. She was overwhelmed. Her tears that she held back has finally burst.

"It was always my fault. I made Beomgyu sick and he had to go through a surgery."

"It wasn't your fault." Soobin said, trying to calmed her down.

"It was me.. it was my fault. I'm just a terrible person." She couldn't stop crying. "Clearly I wasn't even able to take care of Beomgyu by myself."

"It's alright.."

"I'm so scared.."

He looked at her for a second then pulled her on a hug.

"I'm here now." He comforted. "You can leave the rest to me."

Jiwoo continued to sob while Soobin caressing her head.

He then looked up the sky while sniffing.

"Why is the sky so dark tonight?" She asked while still sobbing. "You can't even see a single star."

Soobin looked up the sky and smiled.

"Because the moon is out." He answered.

He turned her around to look at the moon. "The moon is shining. So the stars are dimmed by it. The moon is watching over the night sky tenderly. Thanks to you, Beomgyu is safe and sound. Thank you."

Jiwoo smiled while looking down.

"Soobin.." She called then looked at him.

He hummed in respond.

"Seeing you standing here at the hospital,I feel like a doctor image really suits you." She said randomly.

"Doctor?"

Jiwoo nodded.

"It would be cool if you become a doctor, if people lives are on danger,they can rely on you and you can save them.. plus they can worry less since you're a genius.."

Soobin just gave her a smile and pat her head then they continued to watch the sky.

{The next day}

Jiwoo was staying over the night to look after Beomgyu.

She was sitting on a chair with her head lying on top of her arms on Beomgyu's bed.

When the sun light hit her face, she slowly opened her eyes and noticed Soobin's appearance.

He was sitting on the bed while looking back at her.

Before she could raise her head, Soobin leaned down and kissed her.

"Second Kiss!" Jiwoo shouted while raising up from her sleeping position.

She looked around the room but Soobin was no where to be found.

"Just a dream..." She pouted.

She looked at Beomgyu who's face was half cover with the blanket, staring at her.

"You're awake." She smiled then tilted her head confusedly. "Why is your face red?"

"Nothing.." Beomgyu shook his head and looked away.

Jiwoo nodded and noticed a bouquet of flowers lying on the bed.

"Where did this come from?" She took the flowers.

"My brother.. brought it here.." Beomgyu replied. "While you're still asleep."

She nodded. "Where is he?"

"He went to work already."

Jiwoo nodded in disappointment. "I'll go put this in a vase then."

She stood up and went out of the room.

Beomgyu finally sat up straight while following her with his eyes.

"But.. it wasn't a dream..."
