"the song is collectively about love for someone imperfect who is there yet never there. and despite eagerly knowing all about their darkness which is deep inside scarring them, the narrator still sees them as the most beautiful star and tells them it's okay since they're just as imperfectly perfect no matter what. Another thing about this is that it can be thought as for loving a person who is not okay, afraid, and passive. Afraid to confess because both of them are hurting because of many collective reasons.
