I wake up at 11 and immediately smile. I made a friend. And he's cute. I go downstairs to the bathroom and brush my teeth, but I am still in my pyjamas as I'm not going anywhere yet. I turn the stove on and begin cooking bacon and eggs. Dad comes down and shortly after goes to get Austin. We all sit at the table eating as a family and I think about how badly I want to tell dad that I made a friend. But I can't because then he would know I snuck out.

I'm getting dressed now to go for a walk in hopes of seeing Chris. I put on some baggy jeans, an oversized hoodie, a puffer jacket and a beanie. I also tie up my air forces and head out into the now thicker snow. I don't know where i'm walking to, but I hope it leads me to Chris. I'm walking past the high school that I will be going to in a months time. I'm glad Dad didn't make us move a day before school like most movies do. I like the thought of knowing the town and some of the people before going to one of the scariest places. As I walk across the football field, although to me it doesn't look like football. I forgot that that was played differently in America. I see Chris and a small smile appears on my face, although his hair looks different. Maybe he got a haircut today. Either way it looks good. I walk up to him. 'Hi neighbour.' I giggle as I say this as it's reminding me of last night. He turns around and looks at me strangely. 'So you're the girl that moved in next door.' I can feel my face drop and confusion appears. Does he not remember me? Am I that forgettable? I stumble on my words as I don't know how to process this. 'Uhhh Chris, we talked last night? I thought we had a good time.' This is when I see him smile and I realise that he's only joking around. He chuckles, and I stand there still a bit confused. 'I'm Matt, Chris's triplet.' I can feel my cheeks go beetroot red as I realise this isn't Chris. Although, he didn't mention ever having any brothers, let alone being a triplet. I nervously laugh, thinking he might still be playing around with me. 'Chris stop.' I say with a smile, 'You never said you had brothers so its got to be you.' He's still smiling and I don't know how to escape this situation. 'He didn't mention he was a triplet?' I stare at him as I slowly realise the differences between what Chris looked like last night, and what Chris, well Matt, looks like now. His hair is different, his eyes are the ever so slightest darker than Chris's but no one would notice that unless they had studied Chris. This boy is definitely better dressed, and he is a tiny bit shorter, but definitely not by much. 'Uhhh nope he didn't mention that. I am so sorry i'm um just going to leave now.' I turn my back and start walking towards the house, but when I know he can't see me I begin to run.
