All of 1-A sat at their shared dinner-table, as the food were being distributed around the table. An akward silence fell, as the only sounds in the room were clinking of dishes and cutlery. A few people were talking to eachother and tried to get other people in on their conversation too, but without luck as the room seemed to be way more tense then it usually is. And nobody really seemed to be in the talking mood.
Todoroki sat at his normal seat between Iida and Midoriya. The greenette had helped him to his seat just a while ago, as his legs were still pretty wobbly. But eventhough he were grateful for his friends help, he would have much prefered to be in his dorm right now to rest, but instead he is at their shared dinner-table. His classmates all around him. While the room seemed to be way more tense and akward then it use to be.
His friends had all offered him different types of food-dishes, that were placed all around the table, but he weren't hungry. Actually he hadn't been real hungry in a long time now, he usually skips every meal when the class is eating together, as he doesn't need the attention of people who keeps asking questions like; Why aren't you eating? Does the food taste bad?...And worst of all, the people who asks him the question of: Are you alright?
Ofcouse he isn't alright. Who would be alright after what he went through?
...
His gaze had been on the plate before him in such a long time that, most of his classmates thought he were in some sort of daze. It weren't until a hand landed on his shoulder that his head suddenly raised from it's previous position, quickly snapping to the side to see who had brought him back to reality. Only to be met with the calming green orbs of one of his closest friends. "You alright, Todoroki-kun?" Ofcouse not. The two toned boy parted his lips to say something, but quickly closed them again as he saw the worried expression on his friends face.
His mismatched eyes wandered to the side as he did his best to avoid any kind of eyecontact, while giving his friend a small resured nod. He couldn't look him in the eyes, when the only thing he could see were the confusion and worry about the dual haired boys actions.
"Yeah bro" He looked to the oposite side of the table, to be met with the crimson eyes of Kirishima "You were completely zoned out, and you haven't even touched your food". His gaze wandered back towards the plate infront of him, on the plate were a small portion of soba, that Midoriya had served him some time ago.
"Yeah, what's wrong Icy-Hot?! If it has something to do with my cooking, you can come right over here and say it to my face!" Bakugous loud voice could be heard a few stools down from were Kirishima sat, making the two toned boy flinch slightly by the loud noise. He quickly found his neutral composure though, and turned slightly back towards the worried red head. "N-not H-h-hungry" His voice were still hoase, so his voice were barely above a whisper, but still loud enough for the others at the table to hear. A hand wandered towards his throat, as a stinging sinsation began spreading through his already sore throat.
It weren't like he didn't enjoy eating the blondes food, in fact he would agree with the rest of his class if someone asked who their best cook were. everybody knew Bakugou were their best cook, even if he wouldn't admit it. Ofcouse Sato is a wonderful cook too, but he's more of a dessert guy.
Todoroki sank slightly back on the chair, as his gaze wandered downwards, following the hand that had previously been at his throat, only to realise that his hands were shaking slightly under the table. As he cursed himself for being so weak. Stop shaking it isn't the first time he's yelling. He let his eyes scan the room, aswell as everyones faces, only to be met with either concerned or confused gazes. And eventhough noone said anything, the tension in the room seemed to be even thicker.
...
Todoroki let his gaze wander towards the clock, for the fourth time in the past twenty minutes. They had now been eating for about forty-five minutes, and in the entire time they had been sitting at the dinner-table, not One had asked him a question. Which he were honestly really glad for.
But for some reason, Midoriya and Kirishima had been nagging at him for the past ten minutes, while they tried to convince him that he needed to eat. He weren't a fan of it tho, only turning his head to the side every time they tried to convince him. Iida had also scolded him quite a few times, because of him either; talking or refusing to eat.
He had thought quite a few times about making a run for it, anything that could get him out of this situation. But with his current state, he wouldn't get more then two meters before falling down. Again cursing at himself.
Stop having so weak legs.
Dont let your knees give out.
Stop grabbing at your side, it isn't working.
Stop being so goddamn weak!.
The same words kept repeating in his head, as he thought of every possible solution to get away from his current situation.
"You know what? I give up" The sound of Kirishimas voice could be heard, followed by a kinda irritated sigh. And for a moment, the younger thought he won. Letting out a realived sigh, as the thoughts of him going up to his room to rest kept flooding through his mind.
Until his thoughts were cut short, by the sound of the classes explosive hot headed teen could be heard- "Why are you so cut up about it, just call Mr. Aizawa dumbshit!".
Kirishima and Midoriyas faces seemed to light up in realisation, when they remembered that it were something they could do. And without a second thought, Midoriya had used his quirk to spring out the door, looking for the raven haired teacher. Leaving a startled Todoroki in disbelief as he looked towards the blonde, who just returned his gaze with a taunting smirk.
