Part 8- Michael's mask

Today I just went to school to hear the teachers' speech about Meggie. She was my best friend... I could never forget her... I was sitting there being in my own thoughts.. I was speechless. Why her? Why everyone I have ever loved.. I looked at how her picture appeared in the front. And how everyone started crying and hugging each other. I sat down and didn't move at any way. I saw the teachers mouths moving and every word that came out got my heart ripping apart. A tear came falling out my eye and my heart began to start beating harder. Everyone was all over the place. I was the only one who would do anything about this. And I will. This isn't over, I'm not going to let you get away with it, like with my family and my aunt. I will come for you, Gabriël. With, or without dying... I'll be there..

2 weeks later

I didn't go to school for 2 weeks. I couldn't. Not after what happened. I was laying in my bed. With my eyes width open looking at the ceiling. "Connie, are you ready to go to school again?" I stood up and nodded my head. I got myself ready and drove to school.

I was waiting in the hallway to go to class when I suddenly heard my name being called. It's the principal. So I walk to his office.

The principal is waiting in his office while all of a sudden a knife slit through his neck. He tried to held his hands on it and started choking. The masked man turned his chair and stuck a knife in his heart.

I knocked on his door, but no ones answering. "Mr. Emirson?" No response. I walk in his office and see the man standing behind the principal with a bloody knife in his hand. "You-you're here. I've waited for this moment." I said while my heart was pounding. I was looking at the principal who's bleeding and who's eyes are open. "I think something belongs to you.." I grab Michael's mask out of my bag and showed it to him. He turns his head to the side and keeps looking at it. "I know you want it, Gabriël.. Come and get it.." before I could continue someone approached me and saw me holding the mask. "Shit, I think I have to go." I quickly turn back around and see that he's gone. "Fuckkk!" I leave the office and I walk in the hallway. When all of a sudden I see everyone dressed as creepy characters. I totally forgot it's Halloween. So many masks. I passed them one by one and walked out the school. I quickly ran to my car when all of a sudden he was waiting at my car. I grab the mask again and put it in the air. "Come and get it you motherfucker!" He slowly comes to me and I stand stil. He gets closer to me and I don't move at all. Tears coming down my cheeks. Heart pounding crazy. When suddenly I heard shooting and cops calling out. He drops to the ground and they go check on him. "What do you think you're doing?! Your getting yourself killed." Says the cops. Meanwhile they were checking if he's still alive. I saw he was faking and I wanted to scream no but then he got up and killed the 2 cops. I putted the mask back into my bag and ran away. He was looking back at me and started to walk my direction. I was running till I was out of breath. But luckily my friend Stacy saw me running so she stopped the car and let me in. "Wtf Connie? What's happening??"
"Just fucking drive the other way!!" So she did and we went far away from him. "Can you tell me what happened your scaring me.."
"It's him, gabriël! He killed the principal and 2 other cops. He's trying to get me."
"Fuck no!"

We arrived at her house and we got out. "Wtf connie." She says while walking to me. "What do we do??" Before I could answer that I saw a car pulling up to her house. "Stacy lets go right now!!" She looked at the car and got in very fast. "Fuck, it won't start!" I kept on looking behind me and saw him getting out of the car. "STACY START THE DAMN THING!" She could finally start it. She drove to the back and quickly drove towards him. She had tears in her eyes and drove the direction of the man. She hit him and he was laying on her window. "I can't see anything!!" She tries to drive away but then she crashed into a tree. She shoots forward through the window through a sharp branch of a tree. Meanwhile, Gabriël had already disappeared. I scream and get out of the car and try to run to her house. I lock the doors and try to grab my phone. I then realized it fell somewhere in the car. Fuck! I grabbed a knife and stood there, with red eyes. I was crying so much, I didn't know what to do. I suddenly saw the door knob move. I step back silently. I slowly open the back door and step outside. I turn around and there he was. My knife fell on the ground and his knife was pointed to me. I tried to hold it. I stooped and he went through the glass door. I ran as fast as I could and tried to get a car to stop. Finally someone stopped and brought me to the police. They already found the body's at the school. I gave them Michaels mask and waited for Grace to come pick me up. First Meggie, now Stacy... who's gonna be the next one.
