Five and a half hours later, we found ourselves landing in Philadelphia. We grabbed our luggage from the luggage carousel and went toward the parking lot in search of April's car; which she described to me as a purple PT cruiser. After walking along the aisle Phil and April were sure they parked in, we finally found April's car and head into direction of the town that was going to be my new home for the next two months.

The whole ride April and Phil warned me about the world I was fixing to walk into along with telling me about my father's home, which is when I realized that would be where we were staying this summer due to April and Phil's home being remodeled. The more they talked about my dad and his friends, the more I found myself wondering what exactly I had gotten myself into.

Forty minutes later the car came to a stop in front of a big wrought iron gate, Phil rolled the driver's side window down, punched in a code into the keypad before we watched the gates slowly come open. We drove down a long winding driveway in a deeply wounded area before finally stopping in front of a complete replica of a castle. I pulled my head phones out and stared out the window at the house. I was in awe and amazed, I didn't know my dad lived in a place like this. I stepped out of the car still staring. "It's a big over the top, huh?" April asked as she brought around my duffle bag and backpack.

"It's definitely different than what I was expecting.". I said as we carried our luggage into the house.

I stood in the foyer slowly walking around in the circle taking in all of the detail work. It was beautiful, something I wasn't quite expecting from April and Phil's description of my father, I was expecting something quite simple and cliché. But I was proven quite wrong. "We have a few hours to kill until your dad gets home. How about I take you upstairs and show you your room?" April suggested as she closed the front door.

I nodded my head and grabbed my duffle bag as April grabbed my suitcase, as we walked up the stairs she started giving me a little back story on the house and while we made our way down the hallway she had given me a run down of who stays where. There were so many times, I'm pretty sure I didn't catch any of them. We turned down another section of the hallway which seemed a little to itself, "Your dad figured you'd enjoy this room." She said as she opened the door to the room, revealing a room fit for royalty.

I dropped my bag walking into the room looking around at everything. He thought of it all, the room literally looked as is he pulled it from a magazine. "How did you guys know all of this?" I asked looking around noticing the frames were filled with the same photos from back home .

"Your mom helped. She let us know what things you liked, your dad had one of his friends build what he couldn't find. The photos your mom sent a few weeks ago, we thought it would be helpful to have pieces of home here." April said as she took a seat on the bed. "I think he did a great job with what information we gave him."

"He did more than he should've for someone he hardly knows." I said taking a seat in the chair I had just realized was in the room. "I absolutely love it though." I said smiling.

"He can be a sweetheart when he wants to be, most of the time he'd rather be a thumbtack in the ass of humanity." My grandma laughed "I'm going to go downstairs get things ready for dinner, I'll leave you here to get settled in."

She said before making her way downstairs, I sat in the chair still stunned I was here let alone living in a Castle over the summer in a room the huge and gorgeous. I grabbed my bags and started unpacking, the more I unpacked the less nervous I become, but the more excited I started to get thinking about the rest of the summer.

After getting unpacked and talking to my mom on the phone, I headed down to the kitchen to help my grandma with dinner. As we were putting the food in the over we heard a loud bang and someone yell "Ape, Phil! We're home!"
