Guardian tales

World 1-2

Following her new companion the knight run with her, when they arrive in a new part of the forest the women stop suddenly.

-The mercenaries must've gone this way. But it's dangerous to go alone. Take this! 

She hands a rectangular object, the knight takes it and see it's a simple black phone, it's a little odd but its woks like a charm. She opens it and see a notification.

*Loraine started following you*

Loraine stare at you with her ever-present smile

-I'll send you useful info as you journey along. I'll be your annoying fairy!

The Guardian give her a blank look.

-...

Loraine seems clearly annoyed by this look.

-Don't look at me like that... Anyways! It's time to find your friend!

They start to walk together, they pass some bushes covered with berries and soon they arrive in front of orange squares planted on the ground, a sign of step is engraved on it, they are places in front of big logs lying on the ground. They take a step on the orange square and as soon as they step on it they are sent flying in the air, they land on the other side of the logs. A chest is place in the middle of a little clearing the guardian opens it and find a sword, she takes it because it looks new and sharp, sharper than her previous sword at least. When she grabs it four goblins start to run toward her, they encircle her with greed in their eyes.

-Human! Give it now!

Without thinking she start to spin with her sword brandished. When she stops, she can see the goblins defeated. With a happy smile she then starts to walk and can test it on her way since other goblins start to attack them. The sword work like a charm and she has no problem about getting through. She then climbs some stairs and arrives at the end of a small hill giving her the view to a horrific scene. The castle, the great symbol of Kanterbury is surrounded by a purple glowing sphere, enormous purple crystal goes all around it forming an impassable barrier. The tips of the towers almost touch the darkened clouds, giving the castle an evil air that will send shivers down the spine of even the most courageous. Two children are there looking at the same scene, the first, a little girl, turn to the second.

-Do you see that? The demons have taken over Kanterbury Kingdom! The rumor is that the demons attacked because the kingdom did bad things.

-Really? What did they do?

-Um... I mean, they're all filthy rich and uh... didn't listen to their sister.

-You didn't listen to big sis this morning. Why didn't the demons get you?

She it him with her little fist.

-Why...?

-You just listen to me and big sis, okay? No talking back! Any questions?

-......

-Good boy.

The knight and Loraine step back. The knight continues to walk with darkened eyes thinking she'd better find the Princess as soon as possible. Suddenly in their way they can see a wooden cage, a small beast is trapped, he growls and scratches the cage without any success. The knight run to help him and destroy the cage. He picks herself up, tense, and looks at them with anger in his eyes.

-Grr...

The knight approach and the beast jump on her catching in its teeth a piece of her helmet roaring more and more, the Guardian struggles with fear and finally breaks free, the beast start to run and disappear in the forest. Making sure that she is not hurt she ends up taking the road again, she passes by a field of flower and see some butterflies fly away, she follows them one moment then sees that they sink in a small passage camouflaged between trees, she decides to make a turn there later then resumes her road. She soon encounters a strange guy who rest next to the road, his head is nothing, but fire and a warm heat is emitted from his body.

-Such a nice day... I wish I could lie down and nap... If only my head wasn't on fire... Thanks for listening to an undead like me... I like you. Are you on Facebreak?

*Burning warrior started following you*

She continues to walk when she enters in another clearing. In the center a woman sits, some people are next to her, a child, a goblin, a girl and a soldier. The women have a white skin and white hair, a small bat is flying around her, her mouth open she sing a beautiful song accompanied by the sweet sound of her guitar. The knight tries to speak to all the people starting by the goblin.

-Shh... quiet rude human.

The child listens to the music without a word so she goes to the soldier.

-How is she not popular!?

But finally, when she goes interrogate the girl it seems she is willing to talk.

-Look at her skin! She must be using the famous ''Kanterbury Slime Cream''. I heard they're already all sold out. There should be plenty of slimes at the slime highlands...

The knight promises to go and approach the singer.

-This is the most awesome song's... Requiem.

The knight sits a long time just listening to it, to this bewitching music. Charmed she finally left with a clear mind and determined to save the princess.
