𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐎𝐓𝐓𝐄'𝐒 hands were linked as they sat in the back of his limo. charlotte could tell she wasn't the only one who was nervous. she could practically see his thoughts turning. with a comforting smile she covered his hand with her other one and moved closer.
"i don't know what i'm going to say." he stated softly, leaning his head on hers.
"neither do i, but i'm sure that by the time he's standing in front of us we will." she said, trying to comfort him despite being nervous herself.
"sir? we're here." the chauffeur spoke up as he pulled in on the queen's driveway.
tommy didn't let go of her hand when they stepped out of the vehicle, instead he tightened his grip as he lead her up the steps.
"this feel unreal." she whispered as they stood in front of the doors of the giant mansion.
he turned towards her, his hands holding her face while placed a kiss on her forehead. "i know." he whispered in return. "do you want to go first?" he questioned making her shake her head wildly.
"i don't want to go first, you go first."
"i don't want to go first either." tommy confessed as they eyed the door, not knowing about the smiling man listening from the other side.
"anything for your best girl, remember?" charlotte said while gesturing towards the door. her stomach had started to turn from nervousness.
tommy gasped quietly, "you would use it against me?" he questioned with a hand on his heart. he didn't gave her a chance to answer as he was already opening the door.
charlotte held her breath as he started speaking to who she knew was oliver, "what did i tell you?" tommy questioned and she could see him smiling as he waited a second, "yachts suck." he added with chuckle.
charlotte's heart leaped in her chest as she heard him for the first time in five years, "tommy merlyn." oliver said.
charlotte peaked around the corner as tears gathered on her waterline at the sight of her two best boys hugging. she moved to lean on the side of the doorframe as tommy spoke again "i've missed you buddy."
"well, if this isn't a sight for sore eyes." she spoke up making oliver's head shoot towards her. a smile lit up her face as they locked eyes, tommy moving away so they could hug.
