Finally Home(Levi x Listener)

Chapter 5

You couldn't  sleep. Levi had fallen asleep on your chest. You played with his hair while you hummed. Staring at Levi sleeping on your chest, you wondered what would you have done if had died. You knew that until Micheal was dead for good, you were putting Levi's life at risk. 

"Levi?" You whispered and he nodded his head. "Why did you jump in front of me today?"

"Because.. I've nearly lost you some many times. And I wasn't gonna lose you for real.." He put his face back into your chest. "Now shut up and sleep. I'm fine. I know your worried so your not sleeping."

Eventually, you fell asleep. You slept, but you kept waking up to check on Levi. Levi was your life, and you'd be damned if you'd let anything take him away from you. Hours past, and it was morning. Levi needed to walk on churches, but he could still walk. You both got dressed then walked down to the fence. You climbed up on your normal spot and put your hand on Levi's head. You watched the sun rise put you knew that the whole time Levi was watching you and not the sun.

"Y/N, I need to go. I still have my duties as captain." He said. "And if you keep playing with my hair like that, I don't think I'll ever go."

"Okay, I'm going with you today. Wisp'll take care of everything here while I'm gone. Wisp!" Wisp came and smiled. "Take care of things here. I need to go out today."

"Yes, Y/N. I'll ready your horse as well."

You got on your horse and Otis helped Levi onto the back. You waved and rode off. It only took about an hour to get to the scouts, so you took your time.

You and Levi walked into the building and your friends were all up in your face asking about yesterday.

"Oh My God! Y/N, what happened yesterday? What happened to Captain Levi?" Armin was frantic in worry.

Ewrin explained that Levi had gotten some injuries, and you will be helping with his duties for a while.

The day went smoothly. You walked Levi everywhere and cleaned and even did his paperwork for him. The day had a few more hours, and you left Levi alone in his office for a little to talk with Connie and Sasha.

"Wow. I'm so sorry that happened." Connie said, shaking his head. "I wish I could have helped."

You turned to him and shook your head. "It's better that Levi and I were the only injured people."

"What about Lucifer?" Sasha asked. "Didn't he get hurt?"

"I said Levi and I were the only injured. I never said anything about the people who died."

"Y/N I.." Sasha said sadly. "I didn't mean to upset you!"

"Let's not make it worse Sasha.." Connie said. "Are you two heading back soon? It's getting dark."

"I was just about to go get Levi, actually. See you guys tommorow."

"Bye"

"See ya"

You went to Levi's office to see him asleep on his desk. You smiled and laid on his couch. Looks like you were staying here for the night. You fell asleep, then woke to Wisp standing over you, shaking you frantically.

"Y/N? Y/N, I know you told me not to leave the castle but, it's Conard. He's sick. Very sick."

You shot up. You had to make a choice right then and there. Go to Conard and leave Levi to be taken care of by the scouts, or stay here and trust that Conard will be okay.

You walked over to Levi's desk, wrote something on some paper, kissed his forehead and walked over to Wisp.

"Take me to Conard.." You said, looking back at Levi.

Levi woke up not long after you left. He looked at your note and sighed.

Dear Levi,

I'm sorry, but I need you to stay here with Ewrin for a while. Conard got very very sick, and no one is allowed by him except Wisp and I. I can't risk you getting sick too. If  his sickness is as bad as I believe it to be and you caught it, you could die from your current injuries. Please don't come back anyways, because I have put a barrier on the castle. Once Conard is no longer ill, and your injuries are healed, I will come and get you. I hope you understand why I'm doing this.
